Thanks for the heads-up. I ordered from Amazon. Not in a hurry (still considering trailer options for overlanding and backcountry camping), and free shipping.
Thansk. I'm considering either the 500X or the 1000. The 1000 could double as home emergency power for the refrigerator in the event of a long power failure too. I think the 1000 will still fit inside the bed, along with a Dometic.. I have 17.5" of space between the bed bottom and the bottom...
Hope to have pics soon.
I had my Ace Upper Decker and Custom Camping Concept towers looked at, this is what we're going to do:
Fabricate a bracket that will rest on the lip of the Ace Upper Decker, and screw in on both the top (3-4 screws 2" apart) and the side.
This bracket will be welded...
I'm going to see an overlanding guy on Tuesday who will look at my Custom Camping Concepts towers and rails, and my Ace Upper Decker, to fabricate a bracket to mate them. Once I get more info, will post that.
Echo the request on the paint.
I, too, have my parts. I just need to get a couple of mating brackets fabricted to marry up the towers to the Ace Upper Decker. Then I will paint the whole thing and mount it.
According to Scot,
"200 lbs (4 towers) is the dynamic or weight in moment rating. Parked in camp, will have no problem supporting the tent with occupants.
We normally go a 4 towers / 2 crossbars for 56" wide RTTs and 6 towers / 3 crossbars for 72" wide."
I've been in touch with Scott at Compact Camping Concepts, and we figured out a way forward.
Going to get the 4 Towers from him, and then get some angle iron (or maybe Zee angle iron), in stainless steel, in the correct length/width, to mount on top of the Ace Upper Decker (holes drilled in the...
I am considering that option. however, the rack only allows for a rooftop tent.
With these, I would be able to put on cross bars, and then put whatever I want on (RTT,awning, etc...). I'd like to have as much flexibility as possible.
I do appreciate the help - actually, if you could give me...
Can you give me the spacing between the holes on the bracket that goes into the Trail Rail?
I'm wondering if I can bolt those onto the Ace Upper Decker.
I have an Ace Engineering Upper Decker (https://aceengineeringandfab.com/collections/gladiator/products/ace-jt-gladiator-upper-decker) that I...
Probably not with the Tri-Fold.
But there are other hard covers that may work. Retrax works with Yakima.
Diamondback can be modfied for a rack.
I'm working on something with an Ace Upper Decker...
Does anyone have a list of the Mud Flaps that will work with the Ace RockSliders?
Specifically, will RokBlokz work (since they are easily removable, too)?
