Wait...so if my gladiator has manual windows/locks (aka big a$$ key fob with no buttons) I can disassemble my fob, take out that little thing you circled, attach it to any keyring of my choosing, and it'll start my vehicle???
please say yes. that would be awesome!
Waiting on my gladiator purchase to come in and have been contemplating picking up some oracle headlights to replace the stock halogens...this thread sealed the deal for me due to their customer service & business practices. I'll be going with a different brand that I've been running on my JK...
No way related to your glady, but my 2001 Dodge with the factory alarm system would do that occasionally until I figured out that it was actually the door mechanism that was faulty. It would read that the door was closed and locked until suddenly (something) would tell it that the door was open...
I was under the impression that there were only 4 "Willys" wheels and the spare was a plane steelie right? Either way, I'll be selling all of them as I already have 5 aftermarket wheels sitting in boxes in the garage. Just waiting on decent priced 35" KO2s and my dang gladiator. I'll likely post...
Thanks for the responses everyone. Where are y’all located? I’m 99% sure I’ll be selling my 4 stock Willy’s wheels once it comes in if y’all have any interest.
Current plan is to swap an inline 6 turbo into my '22 Gladiator when the time comes...but it'll be an oil burning 5.9 cummins inline 6
Honestly though, I think times will be changing in the next 5-10 years regarding automobiles. My 2015 JK is a stick shift, manual doors/windows, basic as...
Anyone have an idea on shipping timeframes for manual transmission gladiators? I'm wondering if my Willys sport with manual might be faster/slower to deliver due to the relatively small number of MTs that get ordered.
I like that you started this thread. I'll be picking up my recently ordered Gladiator in the coming months and plan on going over the following before leaving the dealer:
ensure fuses are seated properly
climb under and glance over all major parts for leaks/isseus (axles, transmission, engine)...
I've noticed about a 0.5 mpg decrease, if that, in my topless/doorless 2 door JK over the past month or so. Doesn't detract from the fun at all though. That being said, I've learned to keep my hat beneath the e-brake lever and put ear plugs in if I'm driving more than a few miles away.
I am not sure why. I wanted the black trim pieces the Willys has but also wanted the niceties the Sport S has, so the Altitude package seemed perfect until Gupton told me it cannot be ordered with a stick, automatic only. Gupton goes through a ton of orders so I have no reason to think they were...
Found out that you CANNOT get the Altitude package with a manual transmission so that pretty much sealed the deal against the Altitude. :/
Ended up going with a base Willys. I might add power locks after the fact if it's completely annoying, but I think it'll be just fine.
Just placed my order with Gupton today so I'll take my place in line right here.
