Installing the poison spyder hood louver on my JK takes the cake for me. It wasn’t exactly the hardest in terms of overall difficulty, but it was oh so hard to take drill bits, a hole saw, and cutting wheel to my nicely painted bright yellow hood. ?
That said, it came out wonderful in the end...
I’ve never needed to use my spare on the road (35” KO2) but I have picked up several nails/screws over the past 4 years running them. Only one nail actually made it through and required a patch. It was ~ 3 inches. The others lodged in the lugs.
I don’t run without a spare.
Not a bad way to spend some hard earned/inflation $$$
OOW does some damn fine work from what I've read. I lusted after their HCAR a while back. Enjoy the new rifle and piece of history!
I'll echo what some here have said and suggest you take your time and think through it all. It's REALLY easy to get caught up buying tons of stuff and then before you know it, you've wasted a bunch of hard earned $$$ on stuff you don't really want or need. That said, this was my list within the...
Welp, I reported to base today and they've got me in processing to post for the next 4 days. I was hoping to get my PTDY before and squeeze this trip in before my HHG was delivered. Alas, doody calls! Y'all have fun and be safe. 110% count me in for the next one because I would love to join/meet...
hahaha. Just a regular old 3.6 pentastar. With the manual tranny it was only noticeable in 1st & 2nd gear. Putting around parking lots made it look like I was a total newb at stick shifts because of the surge. So bad that I would turn off the AC compressor when I was in a low speed/gear...
I had a similar issue years ago in my manual JK and it was associated with the AC compressor cycling on and off. You could tell by the RPM fluctuation.
Likely true, fingers crossed I don't have to bring it in for anything..
If the mojave/392 wheels came with red stitching I'd be all over it. Going with Gobi/Black/Red color scheme though!
I was thinking about any potential clock spring issues that might pop up. Haven't heard of too many issues with those here on the forum, but still food for thought.
Ok humor me. I have a Willys Sport which comes with the plastic/rubbery steering wheel. A while back I purchased a leather wrapped steering wheel from the 'bay that was nearly new and came from a 2021 JLUR. I've watched several videos on changing out the steering wheel and it seems pretty...
Much appreciated!
I've been blessed with a taste for both and prefer it neat. Unfortunately for me a replacement liver didn't come with the collection I've amassed, so I've vowed stop buying bottles and share as much as possible.
I've only had my glad for a week but have had zero issues in the 1300 miles I've driven it with a factory apple usb-c cable in the dash plug in. I tried the center console usb plug and it worked as well but it was only a brief function test.
Update from me: I outta be able to join for the first 2-3 days, doubtful I'll be able to make the entire trip as I've got other priorities calling since just moving to CO. I'll know 100% on monday the 25th, but I'm pretty sure it should work out. I'll be in my 2DR JK, ~2.5" lift, 35s, sliders...
I test drove a couple automatic gladiators as well before I placed my order but I'm still 100% glad I went with the manual. It is still a bit of guessing game regarding the bite point but I'm finding that It doesn't take too long to get a feel for the clutch travel required for a smooth start...
I agree with you, getting used to it doesn't take too long. The flip flopping between 3 different manual trannys keeps things interesting haha.
I went with Gobi. Really REALLY wanted snazberry but that wasn't an option when I ordered unfortunately.
Good to know about the transition smoothing after it gets some miles. Learning this transmission has me almost feeling like I did just learning to drive stick..just a smidge of anxiety at stops in traffic because I don't want to be that guy stalling with a load of cars behind me haha. Thankfully...
