I know some of you have seen my posts where my son and I do WWII re-enactments. We have a matching serial number M1 garand that was manufactured in April of 44 and shipped to England in May of 44 and the trail goes dead there. Was it used in D-Day, who knows, but its a awesome shooting rifle and we love using it at our events
Well long story short, I finally got a chance to buy a semi automatic Browning BAR. Ohio Ordnance Works finally produced a new batch of rifles. Many parts are WWII vintage but the receiver is new production as its a semi auto vs fully auto as the originals were. They are supposedly shipping them at the end of August.
I had been using a buddy of ours in our squad for the last couple years and so happy I can finally own one personally.
