Itās a fair question. A good friend of mine who is an engineer and at one time ran a refinery for Mobil, says the oil is good to well over 300 degrees. However, the temperatures we are seeing is higher than many of us have ever seen. When we were in college I had. some Valvoline. Racing oil...
I contacted ID and they told me users of their system see average oil temperature reductions of 35 degrees F under heavy boost conditions. According to them, there should be no warranty issues if their system is installed by a professional mechanic. Since my 2021 Gladiator has only 18,000 miles...
Very sorry to hear this. One of the reasons Iāve purchased two vehicles from them is because Iāve had good luck (mostly) with their service department. Iāll be watching your outcome closely. If it were mine, I would also send a fuel sample to an independent lab, if you can find one.
I live in Lake Havasu too, and. have a diesel gladiator I purchased from the local dealer. Generally, Iāve had pretty good service from them and pretty good service. Their service manager has always been good to deal with. The only exception being when one of their mechanics (probably)...
After re-reading a lot of the posts. on this subject it looks like the only thing that will solve the problem is some kind of accessory oil cooler (probably with a fan.) The question is, due to the relatively low volume of diesel Gladiator. production, will anyone build it? Can it be done in...
I think it all depends on your mission. We donāt do anything really difficult in our Gladiator Rubicon (diesel). It was purchased because we wanted to tow a small travel trailer and still have some decent off-road capability. It does that well and still meets our needs off-road. I traded on our...
Great photos and story. I have wanted to ride this for the last 30 years but something always got in the way. I have ridden part of it and have some scary memories of Soda Lake while riding Barstow to Vegas in ā72, 73, and 74. My last shot was the Big Bear Trail Riders annual run, but that...
No, but I have given it some thought. I used to have water/alcohol injection on my tool truck many years ago, and I donāt think it would be too hard to fab something up. I ordered the aux switches on my Gladiator and could use one of those. Youād need a tank and some kind of spray bar.

Actually, my rv normally comes with a receiver hitch on the rear. Mine didnāt because they are prohibited in Texas where it was originally purchased. My KTM 350 EXC is well below the factory limit for that hitch. I will never tow with it, even though the factory hitch is rated for 3500 pounds.
Got my Gladiator back week before last. It was the lift pump (the one located in the fuel tank like a regular fuel pump.) Seems to be working ok now. Towed my Rockwood 2104S to the Mogollon Rim from our cabin in Munds Park last Monday and averaged nearly 16mpg (calculated at fill up) round trip...
The latest problem I have had with my Gladiator is a failure to start. The engine will crank over, but no start. It acts like the fuel relay isnāt kicking in. It is an intermittent problem, and the engine will usually start after a few tries or waiting a minute or two. Originally, it only...
I just had the DEF recall done on my 2021 diesel Gladiator Rubicon and noticed a 2-3 mpg increase on my last round-trip to Flagstaff from Lake Havasu. It seems to be getting better mileage around town too. Mileage on the engine could also be a factor as I just turned 11,000 miles on the...
Just an update on my oil leakage issues. After the dealerās 6th try at fixing the oil leak on my diesel Gladiator, it is now ready to be picked up again. This time they were going to try resealing the timing cover. It took a couple of weeks for the parts to arrive and the car has been at the...
Thanks for the tip. If I still have issues when I get it back Iāll put it up on my own lift and look it over very carefully before I give it back to them. Your leaks sound very similar to mine.
