Iāve posted here earlier on my first service issue (an entire rear axle replacement due to a faulty sensor), and now, unfortunately, I have another issue. Immediately after my first oil change by the dealer, I found small oil spots under my Gladiator diesel. The dealer inspected it and told me...
Just curious how you are manually engaging the engine fan. Is there something in the off road software that that will let you do this, or are you just bypassing the fan relay?
My dealer replaced my rear axle under warranty, so I guess I have to be ok with that. My truck has just over 8,000 miles on it and seems to be working ok now. Time will tell.
You mentioned a. 2ā Mopar lift. I asked my dealer parts guy if there was a small Mopar lift kit or stiffer springs and he said no. Do you have a part number for the 2ā kit?
Iām still driving mine (as little as possible). The service manager at my dealer says a new axle is coming in next Monday. We will see. If it is a long term problem I will install the box that āfoolsā the system. The worst part, in my opinion, is the fact that they have to R&R the entire axle...
Good good for thought, Jack. I am not thrilled with the idea of them r&rāing the axle either. Iām just cautious about using any aftermarket part that might give them an excuse to void my warranty. I knew there had to be more to the story. Makes you wonder why no one has tried to clean the sensor...
Thank you very much! Iām going to give the dealer a few weeks, but if itās going to be a long-term issue, then I wonāt have any choice. We donāt use the Jeep much in the winter, mostly in the summer at our cabin, so itās not an inconvenience right now, just an annoyance. A true case of a dollar...
Thanks for your post. It looks like this product is for aftermarket lockers only. I should have also mentioned that my axle isnāt actually locked. I verified this by doing some really tight turns to see if it would āchirpā and it didnāt. The service manager also confirmed that the axle wasnāt...
Just got my 2021 Gladiator Rubicon Diesel back from itsā first service at 7500 miles. A few days before it went in, the dash display icon for the rear locker came on and stayed on at about 75mph on I-40. I pulled off at the next exit and tried all the usual tricks, shifting into reverse in 4WDL...
InterestIng that your truck shuts down at 248. Thatās nowhere near the danger zone for synthetic oil. The highest rpm I can recall seeing was a little north of 3,000. Most of the time I was running around 2200 at 65 I think, but I would need to check that to be sure. A good friend of mine is a...
After waiting a year and a half I finally got my diesel Rubicon Gladiator in late April. I traded in my 2107 Wrangler Unlimited Rubicon for it. The Wrangler was great, but we decided to buy a small travel trailer, and the Wrangler just didnāt have the towing capacity. The trailer we bought...
We just got back from a 1000+ mile trip to purchase a used travel trailer with our new Gladiator Diesel Rubicon. According to the manufacturer the trailer weighs about 4800lbs empty. We didnāt carry any liquids in the holding tanks and were lightly loaded. Iād guess No more than 5100-5200lbs...
Just found a way to fix the black screen problem, at least temporarily. There was a post on JGF from FDX Guy on 3/19 that advised holding the volume and tuning buttons for 10 seconds to initiate a soft reboot. I did it, and it worked, so a big thanks to FDX Guy for that post. Iām still going to...
I agree. I just got back from test-driving the car again, and this time the brake controller worked, although itās pretty crude compared to the Tekonsha I installed in my ā17 Unlimited Rubicon that worked flawlessly for 41/2 years and nearly 41,000 miles. The 7-pin plug socket is the loosest fit...
When I picked up my new 2021 Gladiator Rubicon diesel the multifunction display in the dash went black just as I was leaving the parking lot. I stopped, re-started it, and it came back on. I drove back around the lot and pulled up in front of my salesperson and told him what happened. He told me...
Enrollment in the wave program is supposed to be automatic. I used it on my 2017 Wrangler Unlimited Rubicon at my local dealer in Lake Havasu and it was a good thing. However, I check the car closely after each service. I paid for one service in Flagstaff after the wave program ran out and and...
I could do that. If the dealer installs the parts they are covered under warranty. The prices they charged me are the same as the Mopar parts prices online, more or less. On my 2017 Rubicon I did install the brake controller because Mopar didnāt offer one at that time. The bed liner price was...
