So after waiting 5 months for my ARE $4k shell I have to say I am pretty ticked. I have been chasing a severe window leak on the front (behind the cab) opening/pivoting window. Dealer was good about replacing the seals which were not put in correctly and the leak was just as bad so they decided...

Congrats!!!..looks great..if you decide to paint it black go with a Matte finish wrap. Should be less expensive than paint...usually the body color shell- black Hard top combo looks goofy but this is not bad actually..Gobi is a great color which works well with black ..glad you finally got...

looks great...I agree ARE needs to step up their game These are NOT cheap and it takes so freaking long to get one after you order it should be perfect..I will say I am very pleased with mine and no issues like you and some others have but my flip down front window seal is so sloppily installed...

OTR option is a linex type of coating that is scratch resistant and as mentioned matches pretty close to the OEM black roof texture..in certain light you can see the difference but pretty close..I am into my cap with every option ..OTR bed rug, Windoors, flip front window with a slider,Yakima...

I love my ARE CX shell...If you go with Are I would suggest the OTR option....if you are wanting one order it now and hopefully you will get it within 5 months!..yep..took FIVE months...still cant figure out why I cant rotate the photos correctly on this forum :(

So to all that are waiting on your shells let me rant a little bit..first off I LOVE LOVE my shell ..the OTR option is AWESOME the windoors are WELL worth the price of admission BUT..had it one week and the ONE day in So Cal it decided to rain and it tested the "watertightness" of my shell..well...

bed rug fits up under the rails so no problem with the mounting clamps. This bed rug fits way better then the one on my dually...if you are thinking about getting a cap then order NOW as it took five months for mine...yes FIVE months!...some have been lucky and got it within 3-4 months so order now!

finally got my ARE CX Shell installed yesterday...Dog Approved...on edit cant seem to get the pics to rotate correctly :(

FINALLY!..Five month wait was worth it...looks and fits AWESOME...for all those that are patently waiting...it is worth it!...not sure why the pics rotated :(
