Any one get knock below 2,000 rpm with their gladiators? I run 89 in mine because i get a knock below 2,000. I got sick of hearing it and feeling the computer pull timing.
My WRX states multiple places 91 minimum, I was warned at purchase running lower would void any engine warranty claims...
Waiting to see what the fix is. So far i haven't noticed slipping on mine, i don't baby it either. I hope it's a physical fix and not another software one. Well kinda I don't really want to do the whole drop off for a fix and wait thing.
LOL cause the engine is why trucks get bad mileage? It's not at all the large flat frontal area and the fenders, mirrors, and oversized tires that stick out? If you think the 3.6l lacks in power use your right foot to push the dang pedal to the floor, works every time.
I have an overland and rokblokz. The combination is awesome to keep the side of the vehicle free from debris. Personally I like the look, the vehicles look goofy to me without flaps.
I use a cheap one to drag logs onto my trailer. It works great and doesn't take all that much physical effort. A handle extension would make it almost effortless.
I just bought a cheap $30 one form the box store down the road. All in all it works great but it's slow. This one was rated for...
https://gofsr.com/pages/4hub-tent-specs
There are a few other hub tents out there but this is far more common in ice fishing houses. There are a lot of other options if you want to camp in an ice house. Would be a great option for cooler weather but might suck for the summer as they are all...
I don't get the power debate. I can't count how many people have complained about not enough power in XYZ but never go further than half throttle. If you are going to only use 50% of the power don't complain about it, put your dang foot down. Or buy a pedal commander so you get full throttle...
First search result under "sludge brick engine" that is car related points to Toyota. Mind you it was 6 pages in. Aparently making bricks from sewage sludge is a thing, learned something new and useful from this thread.
If the engine is full of sludge I'd say that it's the oil choice, not the...
Don't compute. They aren't removing ICE from lineup just making sure every model offered has an electric option.
https://electrek.co/2022/09/08/jeep-says-will-launch-4-ev-suvs-2025/
This article didn't cite the source but 50% electric sales by 2030 indiciates that they will be still offering ICE...
I wan tot go test drive a Taco after this thread both the food and vehicle. I have an overland and i have to say the on road manners are pretty fantastic. It's smoother than both of our subarus that are full independent suspension. I also find the jeep smoother and better manners on the road...
Our Cul-de-sac got pretty bad this year. I pulled out the USPS guy twice, those mail carts are awful. Also helped the UPS guy. I'd help more people but all the plastic on cars these days leave me not wanting to break things and then get yelled at by the person I'm helping.
I wish the selc-trac was an option for manual. If they tried harder they could make it work but there probably isn't any market demand, except for 2 weirdos on the jeep forum. I just like rowing my own too much.
I know people love their ATs and claim they are good on snow but there is just no...
Sweet, I'll have 30k on mine come spring so i figured it's probably time to do that change, probably replace the MT fluid while i'm under there. I see that axle fluid is recommended to be changed at 40k for more severe use. That seems excessive, but i do tow fairly frequently in the summer.
On my WRX and ATV i just mounted a pigtail with ring terminals on the battery. I then just connect the charger plugged into the wall into the pigtail.
I like your idea it's slick but i also hesitate with the ability to have a 120v short on my vehicle.

Yeah it's getting worse with all the turbo engines as well. Spark Plug interval is 60k miles on both my Subarus vs 100k for the 3.6L. The ones for the forester are the same Moon rock iridium titanium w/e and sold for $26 each... :headbang:
I have found the "my $40-60k jeep should be perfect" to...
I run 89 in my 21 JT mainly because i get knocking rolling into the throttle at 1,200 RPM in first gear with 87.
I never realized how touchy spark plugs could be until recently. I changed the plugs in our Forester XT. One had a crack in the porcelain. Couldn't see it when I installed the...
The funny part is in 50 years there is going to be a person restoring a gladiator to factory condition. They are probably going to have to do a search to figure out what side it was offset and how much. Maybe they'll find this thread.
Mine if offset to the drivers side by about 3/4". If it's...
