I’ve had both engines as well and love the diesel on my 21 Willys. The low end torque is a monster and feels like sports car quickness. I’m running 33s with a leveling kit and average about 24 mpg. Yes diesel prices are rough right now but in all honesty, those who can afford a $50k+ vehicle...
For me to get the smoothest rear window I do the left and right straps first and pull the window the tight then do the center strap last pulled less tightly.
I will say besides a few minor engineering gripes (too many straps vs Velcro) my biggest issue is the damn road noise. Up to about 50 mph it’s not bad but as soon as you hit 70+ it is like being in a wind tunnel. It’s honestly louder than having no top on or the front open because of the poor...
Looks good I think with the back folded up under the front portion. Secured the whole thing around the sound bar with a strap. Definitely feels fully open and lies flat.
Sorry for the delay all! Finally a warm day today. Here are several pics of the front and back all rolled up. Also a couple of just the back window and corners out like a safari too. You’ll see the last pic I used a flex cord to tie everything down around the sound bar. Worked great. Really...
Got it on today. Initial thoughts - love the look. I think it looks way better than the style of the OEM top. Install was all ok until the rear portion - a lot of Velcro and straps. The very large rear window is fairly easy to take out but like others have said, taking the whole rear portion...
So it was only about 65 here but what I did was laid out all the vinyl and window pieces in the garage then surrounded them with a few space heaters for a few hours and kept them on right until I was ready to install them. Worked well.

Thanks. I read some of that too, I think the pic shows the front folded back and that is the entire back window taken out as it’s one large piece. I like that better than it folding up in the rear anyway especially if it you can simply zip off the whole rear portion.
Hey all, I've been looking for a soft top option for this summer as I only have the hard top. This new Rugged Ridge Voyager seems like exactly what I'm looking for and more functional than the Mopar standard soft top. Anyone have this...
