Traded my Taco that had been an amazing truck and did everything I wanted on and off road for a Gladiator. I would not change a thing. As awesome and fun as it was to build the Tacoma the Gladiator ramps it up a notch or two. Off road...the Gladiator just chews up trails that may have got my...
I really like several of the wheels on this thread. Particularly the Black Rhino wheels, I don't think swapping mine is in the budget right now but will be under consideration next go round. I am running the Icon Rebound's, I wanted something other than black on the wheels and these fit the...
Finally retired the Yeti 65 with slide out for a Iceco VL75Pro. Trying to decide now how to build out the back. Thinking of building either a slide and single drawer or dual drawers with the fridge on top mounted to a tilting slide.
Yeah, I am really liking this one from Rusty's for 899. All aluminum HD, seems like a good buy. Install seems pretty straight forward as well.

Thanks for the feedback, I have a JKS track bar and that made big difference. I feel like adding the HD mounting bracket will help as well. Running a Clayton Overland Plus 2.5" lift with 37's. For some reason I am surprised it drives like a Jeep with a lift and giant tires. Haha
Just ran across the Rusty's Offroad Steering system. Incudes the Tie Rod, Drag Link and Steering Stabilizer relocation mount. Anyone have any experience with this brand?

The tent is a CVT Mt Hood tent (medium). I also removed the included mattress and bought an Exped Duo 15 Mattress to replace it. While I have not slept on it yet testing it out, it feels 1000X better than the thing ones that most tent builders use. I am a side sleeper so I need some support...
New Tent is installed. I am loving the black out fabric for sleeping. Got in and buttoned it all up and very little light got through. Fabric seems a bit thicker, maybe keep some of the noise out or in. ?
This is the part I am trying to correct now and what has me looking into this. My truck is amazing offroad with the current setup but on the hwy at 75-80MPH if I hit a bump you can feel the entire front end shimmy and shake for a second or two after. Seems like it is putting undue stress on the...
Considering a HD Drag Link and Tie Rod. I liked the Steer Smarts but read a few bad reviews so I am not sure now. I love my Clayton components but they don't make them. I have a JKS Track bar that I really like as well, I had picked it up new in box on FBM and seemed about the same as the...

My only concern with putting a size like that on your truck is that you might run into issues if you destroy a tire and getting a same size tire quickly. I put 285/70/17's on my Wife's Wrangler and they look great with a 2.5". You might also be able to find new take-offs at a good price since...
Watching used parts market daily paid off with a OEM steel bumper. I had picked up the Bulldog winch plate a while back used but brand new in box. Added the Badland Harbor Freight Winch. It was a good weekend!
One thing that remains to figure out is how to fix the free spool lever on the...
Now that you mention it, I am having the same issue with the locks. Like you I just stopped locking them this winter. Need to find a solution for this though as it is a bit frustrating.
Yes, I picked up a set online and they are required for mounting the Alu-Cab Canopy Camper. I picked them up on Amazon. Super easy to install and no drilling required.
Mopar Bed Rails
ETA: I LOVE this Canopy/Topper. Access from 3 sides and built like a tank. So much nicer than anything I...
I would suggest watching this 2 part video review from Trail Recon on youtube. I found the 2nd episode, you should be able to find the first that goes into all of the details of each lift. Pretty informative and useful information without a lot of fluff.

BTW, don't be to hard on my crap step/sliders. I know they are not technically sliders and they are ugly as heck but I am short and they did take a pretty big hit a few weeks ago and survived. Saving to buy the RockSlide Engineering sliders with the drop down steps. My entire family is short...
Tent came in and installed. The low profile cross bars from Alu-Cab presented some challenges in mounting it. Ended up putting the tent on the roof, disconnecting the Alu-Cab crossbars and setting the crossbars on blocks. This gave me about 4 inches of space to attach the clamps for the tent...
A few things have changed, I did not care for the way that the Roof Top Tent opened on my truck. The build quality was nice but there were several steps to setting it up, which sucked when it was raining or crappy out.
That headed me down the path of looking at sleeping in the bed of the...
