I put these in the dash corners in mine, and it significantly improved the quality up front.
Infinity Reference REF307F Reference Series 3-1/2" 2-way car speakers at Crutchfield
I have these on the way currently, to try to improve the sound bar quality a little.
Kicker KS Plug & Play...
Yeah, I've seen some reports of the bad corners or the stitch seams pulling apart. Luckliy I haven't had that issue with either of mine.
Same deal here though, didn't want to lose the space with a trifold, and really didn't need it to be fancy. I will say, if you're looking for water tight...
I have the exact one you're probably looking at. You don't need to have the factory bed rails. It comes with the clamps that go under the bed sides, and over the framework of the cover.
I have no issues with the Tyger one. It's been great for almost a year. I actually had the same brand on my...
I'll second this...
I actually have an appointment at my local discount tire on Wednesday to get a new set put on my mojave. I had two sets of these on my previous truck, and I couldn't have been more pleased with them. First set I had put on, I was shocked driving home at how quiet they were...
Twins! :)
I went through a similar process to yours. Eying a JT for a long time, and finally found the right deal on my 22 Mojave. Welcome to the club.
Did require adapters, but if you order through crutchfield like I did, they send the adapter you need along with the speakers, for free. If you order elsewhere, this is the adapter you need.
Highly recommend this upgrade. Install takes about 10 minutes, and the sound improvement is immediately noticeable. I just did the same, with the exact same speakers about 2 weeks ago.
I don't have any experience with the kicker 10", but yeah, I was not impressed with the rockville. The Pyle one definitely was better in my experience. Can't rule out that maybe I got a dud unit, but it seemed like I had to turn the volume control knob almost all the way up to get anything out...
I had one of those rockville subs in my last truck, it was pretty underwhelming. I ended up swapping it out for a Pyle PLBX8A, and it was much better than the rockville. Gave enough bass to sufficiently supplement a non-amplified base system in a Silverado 1500.
I actually just ordered a set of those infinity speakers. I'll let you know how it goes. Everything I saw looks like it should just be a drop in replacement.
Installed a set of Oracle Oculus Bi-LED lights this afternoon. Anxiously awaiting sunset this evening so I can properly aim them and do a road test. Original plan was to stick with the halogens, so the bulb heat would help with melting snow build up. But a recent drive through lake effect snow...
Mine was similar. They had to send somebody over to their "overflow/outlet lot" to get it for me, after calling 2 different people to figure out where they put it.
