Itās the same, like a sun roof is the same as a convertible. with the uppers installed, they are about the same, but remove those uppers and you gain an armrest at armrest height, rather than roughly at your shoulder. Itās a night and day difference. uppers are also VERY easy to store, install...
Maybe....but you still need to open the door and not have the mirrors bang into that or stick out too far. I agree that itās a hassle, Iām just saying that Ford was starting with a blank slate, and have been doing frameless windows on Mustangs forever. Their big square rear door is also part of...
I want Earl.....however, Chrysler used a color called āLuxury Whiteā that Iād go with, if available.
itās not that I like the color, so much as it reminds me of the Millennium Falcon ?
Having relocated my mirrors to this spot on a JK, I can assure you that it doesnāt work very well. In fact, the brackets I used were modified to work better, and they still failed.
The biggest problem is that the A pillar and the upper window frame block the driverās view of the passenger side...
The best way I could describe the difference is that itās almost like the difference between having a large sunroof versus having a convertible. Removed uppers leave the door top at the PERFECT height for an arm-rest, and leaves you with (complete guess...) an opening about 30% larger than an...
I think thereās a larger market and potential for profiting in the production of a 2 door Gladiator than there is in ditching the second row For an over lander topper....
if your dealership EVER tries to say that a modification voids the warranty on anything beyond the parts you actually touch, then find a different dealership (or an indie shop that does warranty work). Donāt accept āWell, you went offroad, so this wonāt be covered anymoreā either. FCA pays them...
Bronco has half doors with a frameless window....but the Jeep doors have a frame on top. THIS Is why they never moved the mirrors to the A-pillar. either the mirror has to stick out really far, or you canāt see it because the frame of the window blocks the mirror (at least on the passenger...
Was that expected to change?
I wanted to be an early adopter, but at this point Iām thinking Iāll wait for first reviews and hope for a Black Friday special that is close to the pre-order.
My goal is to keep a Jeep for about 2-3 years, it I usually double that. Iām not super thrilled with the gearing on this manual, Gladiator, which makes me more inclined to say that Iāll be ready to trade about 12 months after a new power train is available (diesel, V8, or hybrid)...of course...
