To keep it on topic, the door handles in this car are from a JEEP half door!
Yes, the door handles are the same except for the color. I liked the black so bought these Jeep handles for it.

I've owned 3 Javelins (68, 70, 73 -still have the73), 2 AMXs, my first Eagle was a brand new 84 wagon we special ordered, she got that in the divorce, I bought a used 81 SX4, later bought an 80 Eagle wagon I sold to a guy in OH, now have this 82 SX4 I put a 4.0 in. T5 5 speed transmission, I put in power windows and locks. I've kept it stock other than the Jeep engine I put in at about 160,000 miles.
All restoration work done by me except the CNC wheel restoration.

but it is. it really is.
It’s the same, like a sun roof is the same as a convertible. with the uppers installed, they are about the same, but remove those uppers and you gain an armrest at armrest height, rather than roughly at your shoulder. It’s a night and day difference. uppers are also VERY easy to store, install and remove…giving an quick transition for those of us that rarely drive to work and then back home on the same day.

I kinda feel like I would be taking the standard doors off to put my half doors on and I’d stop and just like it better without the doors at all…

And without the doors on, when I change that $5K to singles, it can all fly out the sides while I drive anyway.
