I have the VooDoo VRS side rails and bed cross bar system (wtihout risers). It fits great with my roll-n-lock tonneau and puts standard aluminum t-slot bars about 1 inch above the retractable tonneau. Dry, covered, locked storage in bed, and a half-bed sized cargo rack above the tonneau. Very...
My roll n lock allows 16" max depth. The yeti is apparently 15.5". I think it would slide in there quite nicely, but I don't have a yeti, so can't say for certain.
Can anyone tell me the dimensions for the bases of the Yakima Overhaul HD rack? I'm thinking of making an adapter to put the Overhaul on Voodoo VRS Rails. It could be as easy as some angle iron, but I'd like to get an idea of the length and width of the base without any of the tonneau kits or...
That's actually not bad... and is more or less one version of what I was considering building myself off the VRS rails that are arriving today (hopefully).
@KB Voodoo Any chance you have a picture like this showing the high rails on a soft top? I know the soft top sticks up a bit more than...
I am STILL sorting how best to get my canoe over my soft top, but the rough plan eventually is to use any of the aero-shaped crossbars with t-slots on the top and bottom, and use the t-slot on the bottom to mount them to some sort of rack.
Here's the rhino rack ones from etrailer, but thule...
Yeah, I couldn't find a good off-the-shelf solution for the t-slots.
What I finally did was buy 3/4" wide, 1/8" thick stainless steel barstock from Mcmaster (https://www.mcmaster.com/catalog/129/4234/8992K794), then drill and tap it for 1/4-20 threads. Then I put either 1-1/2"...
I got my DIY aluminum bleacher cargo deck to a point that I could use it and it works really well, so I thought I would share.
Once I figure out how to squeeze my canoes on top; put the bikes on the hitch; and still have the cargo deck for the cooler, rubbermaid, and whatever else, I'll make...
Does anyone have experience with the N-Fab Arc Sport Bar used with the roll-n-lock or armis tonneau covers as shown below? Can you comment on how sturdy it mounts? I'd like to use is it as half of a support system for canoes by mounting some long aero bars to the top.
Here's the amazon link...
I have no first hand experience with either your tonneau or the EGR Sport Bar (so you might as well stop reading), but I'll commiserate a bit and if you post a picture of your tonneau I'd be happy to enage in wild speculation and propose many different solutions, each cheaper and more easily...
I'm pretty close to pulling the trigger and mounting three 1" x 6" x 5 foot long aluminum bleacher seats to the t-rails of my roll-n-lock tonneau as a place to strap down my lifetime cooler, action packer, duffels, maybe some firewood occasionally, etc.
Anyone do anything like this? Any...
I also want LOW profile cross rails; just above my roll-n-lock tonneau. I want them much lower than a half-height rack. I haven't quite decided on a final design as I'm trying to incorporate a shallow toolbox and make a cargo deck for the cooler and Action Packer at the same time, but the plan...
Bought my roll n lock from tonneaucoversworld.com on Wednesday and it arrived Sunday. Will install later this week I hope.
Yeah, i wanted a retractable tonneau to keep it easily open-able with a rack above it. We’ll see…
I don't have either yet (just ordered my roll n lock), so don't quote me, but from pictures and discussions on this forum, the info I gathered was:
BAK X4s: 17.5" under tonneau
Roll-n-Lock: 16" under lowest part (look for post "roll n lock installed" for great pictures with tape measure)...
I have a soft top, and I'd like to be able to carry my long canoes (15-17') centered over the cab by using a chase rack in the back and some sort of support over the front of the windshield. This would leave my soft top easily available once I drop the canoes off at the lake.
Would the cheaper...
I'd like to get just a few more inches of bed depth under a tonneau. And yes, part of that is so that so that I can fit my favorite cooler under it; and the other part is I just would like a bit more dry cargo space. Two years ago when I first actually considered getting a Gladiator, this is...
