Mine locks with the Tailgate down as well. Either from the key or using the proximity button.

Interesting. It's not on the Window Sticker that I can see. I feel like this is something the dealer added.... I hope that's the case and Jeep hasn't suddenly decided to add this.

This is bizarre looking. I checked the US and Canadian Jeep sites and this option is not listed. Did you get photos of the window sticker? Or ask someone at the dealer about it?
