This is awesome... exactly what I wanted to know. Thank-you for the clear and concise response! :)
Based on this I'll be renting a truck rather than risking melting my trans.
There is a lot of contradictory advice out there for my Overland, and I'm trying get a definitive answer. Any help appreciated!
I don't believe my Overland has the tow package although it has a wired trailer plug. I've read that my truck's towing capacity varies anywhere from 4000lbs to 6000lbs...
I have never had the need to tow anything but now looking at a 700 mile trip with a 3000lb car and a 1600lb trailer. I'm thinking it might be better to just rent a truck...
*edit* I do have the camera zoom but pretty sure its a stock alternator and regular cooling. Going to scan the window...
Had mine parked at the airport for a week back in January, Had the same experience as you. Absolutely dead. Had to get triple A to jump it with their industrial jumper as my Amazon jumper didn't even make a dent.
Yeah I think the wide angle of the camera phone is stretching the bed out. Look at the shape of the wheel.
Definitely looks like a bigger hood so I would assume a performance variant of some sort. Also the back windows are camo'd out and there is a wire from the back door to behind the bed...
