Hey, very nice build. Question for you. The rear fender chop, do you have a pic? I'm curious what the bed right behind the rear flare looks like....on the bottom. Thanks!
A mod with regrets..... We did a stubby antenna on my wife's first JK. Stupid and useless mod if you ever use the radio.
Favorite mod.....tires always tires. Get those pumpkins up higher from the ground, the looks help too :)
I enjoyed reading your story. It's inspiring. Very nice looking build you have going there. What fender flares are those? They look perfect for my build trying to gain clearance while maintaining tire coverage.
Thanks!
I say BFG, they have a great reputation and the company isn't new to the game. I almost went KM3 before deciding on nittos at a great price. I'm running 295/70 on my stock rims. I did feel a difference in acceleration unfortunately and understand I should look at gearing before 35's. For now I'm...
Those toyo's are a good tire, that's for sure. I also switched from the firestone stock 32" MT's to 34" Nitto Trail grapplers (also MT) and I too noticed a huge difference. My Nittos have been so much better in the winter and the sound and ride are far improved. I'm not sure I want to ever go AT...
Thanks for your response but I've seen all the slim options and the DV8 one is the best. Just find it hard to believe no one is working on a bumper delete fascia like the screenshot.
Maybe I'll eventually remove it and create my own look.
Well, the noise has mysteriously disappeared. About a month after having the resonator replaced it's gone. So weird...
I'll post if I ever hear anything from Jeep Engineering.
Are you sure it doesn't do it with every acceleration over 2500 rpm? With my windows up and radio off I have a buzzing or whirring noise from the left dash area. Dealer can't figure it out. Jeep engineering is looking into it I guess.
SOOOO it continues. Wasn't the resonator....Jeep engineering will be getting into the brainstorming now. 4000 miles with baby fart noise coming from the dash. Fun.
