I have a Gladiator, my wife drives the 2.0 Wrangler 2 door. Hers moves 35's like they're nothing, and turns on a dime. There is NO ROOM in the two door but you kinda know that if you're looking at them. She gets the same gas mileage as I do. The sound is weird, especially on cold start. Not...
They worked just fine for me once the factory liners were cut out. They should change the verbage to say, "we promise the paint job won't last more than one year."
Every jeep is different but I definitely did not need an alignment. Shops drive me crazy with their alignment scams especially on solid axle vehicles. It's as bad as the "topping off" of AC's.
In that case $500 is a lot for labor. The job would be two hours max. It's your money though, you send it the way you want. The leveling kit is well worth it. I'm easily running 35's with it.
I don't know what extended Mopar LCA's cost, hopefully not much because Mopar LCA's are not very strong. You'll see if you hold one in your hand. The leveling kit is only about $100. So if Mopar over charges for the thin walled control arms than no it is likely not that bad of a deal for labor...
My friend does yellow as her accent with her sarge green wrangler. It looks great. I do safety orange on my gladiator. Pics attached. If you're looking for a daily driver tire I'd say Nitto recon grappler. You start messing with tons of lights get ready for strange problems that will ghost you...
Please do not pay someone $700 to do that job. It took me 2 hours and most of that was because I was being thorough. I did not do lower control arms but I have on my wife's Wrangler. Also very easy, getting bolts out are the hardest part of those. I did not go crazy loosening every nut and bolt...
My slots are wider than my wife's JL. Found out the hard way ordering Amazon junk that stated it would fit JL and JT and they fit my wife's grille fine but are quite a bit too small for mine.
I've run 34"x11.5 and had zero rubbing. I now have 35"x12.5 and they rub the sway bar at full turn on the stock rims. So you can do it, just stick to your guns with your 11.5" width thinking. FYI, I am just running the Teraflex 1.5" leveling.
Ok I'm going to chime in before reading everyone else's replies. I have a very similar situation. 2021 sport Willys. We have a very long dirt driveway that I need to drive through very high snow at times. I went one winter before doing anything. Found out all my snow packs up on the axles...
Ha ha! Thank you, it made sense because the Jeep guy pronounced his last name Willis even though most jeepers think it's willies. Added bonus that I enjoy Mr Bruce Willis' movies.
Thank you! Handling improved with the levelling kit, way less nose dipping in the corners. The tranny struggles a little with shift points. I plan on getting a tazer mini to correct that just ran out of funds because....life. I wouldn't say it's required with these 34's but it would help correct...
Hi,
My Willys sport is rolling on 295/75/17 so my tires are wider by about 3/4 of an inch. I have the Teraflex leveling kit. This pic is with my new tires. Instead of running spacers I decided on some clearance black rhinos that are -18mm offset. I did new inner fender liners and a fender chop...
