I had to comment on the post it was incorrect.
Did you read all of the posts?
The truth was already covered 2 years ago.

Copied from another forum:

"The steps must be followed in the exact order for it to work:

1 put transfer case to 4H part time, let vehicle roll a short distance for it to truly engage
2 press OFFROAD + button to enable offroad+ mode, (Track control became OFF)
3 press and HOLD the ESP button for 10 seconds (a message on dash saying the ESC is completely OFF )
4 press the rear axle lock, it should engage. once enable, the locker remains engaged "

If it doesn't work, go get a software update.

I get it, but locking the diff with those high driveshaft rpms seems like an easy way to break something.
Sometimes. You need high wheel speed for the tires to self clean in the mud.

I can rotate them plenty fast in 4low.
And what I find is I sometimes need more momentum also it is sometimes needed as much as the cleaning out of the tires.

I admittedly see less mud than snow. But in snow, I usually have pretty good luck getting unstuck with 4low.

With a Tazer, you can lock both lockers in 4Hi. I ran around in 4Hi most of the day Saturday. I used the lockers several times. Usually I did remember to shift into 4Lo but there were a couple of times I didn't.

I've had a problem twice when plowing - the snow was so deep and the push so long that snow was coming up over the plow. By the time I got to the top of the drive it was just too high and way too heavy to push any farther - but the snow had come up over the top of the plow and dropped down behind it. I couldn't go forward and with the plow full lift, it was catching on the snow that had built up (this little truck can shove a massive amount of weight up a hill - totally AMAZING Jeep). Took some back and forth but got it worked out of the little problem ok.
I've decided when it's coming over the top, to the hood, etc. - even if it CAN push more - I shouldn't. LSD, no lockers but quite capable as it sits.

What???? You mean you don't restrict RPM to below 3,000? Wow!
Me either I'm talking 4k plus in high side , 3 or 4th gear. When I say wheels pin. I mean wheel spin ??

Hi, so far not real impressed with the Rubi in snow conditions. I deal with ice and hardpack and deep snow daily, all on road. I don't really need the locker as I'm a good enough driver in snow not to get into a position where it's needed.

Just not a confident feel driving this rig in snow. I've added weight to the bed and run Blizzaks but I am wondering if the models with an LSD would be better for the type of snow driving I do?

I'm sure the Rubi is great Off-Road but that's not me so feeling like I picked the wrong version here.
LSD is fantastic in the NH winters I deal with.

OK. the new Gladiator is on its way. I had to get one with no LSD. I plan to add one. Questions for the group, How much should I expect to pay, and are there any aftermarket units you would recomend over the factory one? I have had a jeep before, with an LSD, and it was a beast in snow and mud, Besides, I sometimes like to steer with my right foot. Really disappointed Jeep does not offer LSD across the whole model line.

If there was a way, I'd swap out the rear locker in my Mojave for an LSD unit.
I'll never use the locker, but relied a lot on the LSD in my prior two Gladiators..
