Every dealer is going to be different. My dealer here in Tampa is a rock star and doesn’t care because they know a lift has nothing to do with it. They know the problem exists from the get go and if you’re under warranty they don’t care. My service managers train of thought was it’s an issue...
@itsdapk curios about the custom tune, I believe I read that it requires the PCM to be sent in and unlocked, right? Considering it’s “illegal” (maybe not the best word choice) in the eyes of Jeep, will there be a different way of going about the PCM unlock if this thing gets approved? I imagine...
I think we are actually arguing the same point here. TSBs are covered under warranty, no one is debating that. Your post appeared to disagree with my statement saying that a TSB is NOT required to be performed just because a customer walks in and says they have a problem. The shop still has a...
Nope, TSBs are not required to be fixed/payed for outside of warranty. Period.
Just because you think you know the law, doesn't mean you're correct and there is no need to be a smart ass about it either. Don't get TSBs confused with recalls which are required to be completed free of cost...
And that is the stopper. Every person thinks the TSB is the fix for their issue and they demand it. Turns out it's not always the issue, and it's actually something else. Or they don't have the issue at all and just want the fix just in case.
IF what you were saying was the way all dealers...
This is a common misconception. TSBs are NEVER mandatory or required fixes. The dealer has the right to refuse/deny the fix if they feel it’s not necessary. If Jeep felt strongly enough about it they would have issued a recall instead of TSB. A TSB under warranty just means its free for you, as...
Brought my jeep in today and got confirmation I'm good to go on this TSB and parts will be ordered today. I was told it'll be about 10 days wait for the parts to ship and arrive.
Side note: The dealer didn't even test drive my truck. Plus, I already have the synergy bracket/sector shaft brace...
I just showed my dealer this and he laughed at the "they put a note in". There is no spot in the system to make notes on special requests. You enter in what you want and that's it, the backend system handles all of it. No one is looking at each other and saying oh they selected this but noted...
Would love to see that front bumper and skid plate able to be purchased by themselves. Considering it was shown at SEMA two years ago I’m doubting it will ever see the light of day!
