I’ve run 5.38’s and 37’s for the past 6k miles. It’s super drivable and not too deep in my opinion. Based on what you’ll be towing, you’ll appreciate the additional depth. 5.13 vs 5.38 is only a 4% difference. If you told me you’d rarely tow, then I’d agree that 5.13 would suffice. My gears...
So I’ve actually made a few sustained runs at 80mph, the most recent one being 3 hours down and 3 hours back in one day. I did make it a point to feel my rear diff cover when I got home and although it was moderately hot, I could hold my hand to it without feeling like I was going to burn...
That’s my exact assessment. It always happens in the exact same spot in the car wash when the sprayer is at a 45 degree angle spraying from the back of the vehicle towards the front. It completely pushes through the door seal.
I get a spray of water through the doors every time I go through. I used to think it was coming from the freedom tops, but it’s actually the high pressure water making its way between the drivers and passenger door.
Due to the extreme back order of Dana 5.13’s, I took a chance on Dana 5.38’s. They have been nothing but outstanding in my truck. The truck drives like it’s on stock 33’s and a tuned 3.6. The terrain around my area is really hilly and the gears tend to stick between 7-8 @ 75mph with zero...
I have a question for those with AWE exhaust installed and have also re-geared. I’m currently running 5.38’s on 37’s, so my RPM’s at 70mph are around 2650. I know that AWE manufactures their exhaust to be drone-free, but that’s likely tuned off of a stock gladiator where the RPM range for...
I've got an AEV 2" lift on my Mojave. Just curious if I need the to order the loop delete with the trail exhaust kit or not? Any feedback I from those who have AWE exhaust is appreciated!
Update.
I am currently 1500 miles out from my re-gear and the truck runs great with 5.38’s. My 1000 mile differential oil exchange and inspection was perfect, barely any metal shavings in the break-in fluid. I think that waiting on the Dana Spicer gears was the correct call.
5.38’s on 37’s...
I can’t comment on Rusty’s, but I’d tell you that Dana gears are worth the wait. I just finished my break-in and was back at the shop for inspection and fluid change. The shop is fantastic and highly regarded, but they install a ton of Yukon gears and initially tried to sell me on them. To be...
I have for sale a set of Synergy 1 & 3/4” wheel spacers for a Jeep JT / JL. These were already installed on my Gladiator with the factory Mojave wheels and allowed the truck to run 37x13.50R17 tires with only a small level kit up front and no rubbing. They are in excellent shape.
These run...
I have for sale an Icon Vehicle Dynamics adjustable rear track bar for the 2020-2023 JT Gladiator. This was only installed on my truck for 6 months and never wheeled. I recently swapped over to a Metal Cloak track bar to accommodate a 37” spare. Nothing wrong with it otherwise. I paid $260...
I bought my 2021 Mojave used with 18,000 miles on it. The original owner had installed Nitto Ridge Grapplers 37x13.50r17’s on the factory Mojave Wheels. He also had installed a small leveling kit along with the Synergy wheel spacers. I ran this setup for 1000-1500 miles before jumping over to...
The beauty of the AEV Mojave lift is that you maintain all of the factory springs and Fox shocks, but they put all the correct geometry back in alignment along with 2” of lift.
I’ve got a 2021 Mojave with 37’s and I run both AEV’s 2” Mojave lift with their relocation brackets. The truck has excellent road manners. What sold me on the relocation brackets was AEV’s video where they are basically drifting a 392 Rubicon at high speed, which was running both their lift...
I’m not sure what makes the overland flares different from a standard JT flare? I would be tempted to call a dealership and cross reference the part numbers. If they are the same, then I’d just order the standard US spec flares from DBOR. If the only difference is rivet placement, then the...
I ordered the DBOR Mojave/Rubicon flares two weeks ago and installed them this week per the instructions on their video. Sanded them with 120 grit blocks and rattle canned them with black sound deadner I ordered off of Amazon. I also ordered a plastic rivet tool and used that for the install...
I’m 4000 miles since my Metal Cloak sector shaft brace install and zero issues. It’s been pretty snowy here this winter so lots of salt on the road, no issues with corrosion and the bearing is still smooth.
I am 400 miles into my break-in period and absolutely loving the 5.38’s! The truck is so much more lively and drives fantastic. I did experience some of the aggressive downshifting at first. It was much more apparent when turning corners, the transmission would downshift and it would feel...
