Looks to me like the oil pan is pretty vulnerable. I think I would rather bang up the control arms joints than bust the oil pan but maybe it’s an illusion
Talked to a dealer for exo Shield. And something called clear.plex Both are supposed to protect the window the dealer said that exo shield was not as clear as clear plex and that neither was optically perfect. But clear plex Was clearer. And had “less issues visual ly” whatever that means...
so it comes down to this. either the jcr, rci, or the up all in full height
pros are the jcr is the least expensive but has no tonneau cover clips that add the extra 2 or soinches in height at about 750 with a wait of 3-5 weeks

I am going to install my own skid plates from rubicon exrpress. The plates will cover the transfer case the transimission and oil pan? Is this difficult? I don't have a lift so it is on my back, under the jeep work.
Later I will do diff skids and shock and control arm skid...
I spoke with the folks at max mod. The rack for the gladiator will work with the trifold Mopar cover sort of. You can mount the rack but you cannot open the tonneau cover
So since I can’t find a bed rack that will allow the actual use of the tonneau cover that means I will have to remove it so it’s coming down to the max modular or jcr racks. Maybe that other rack that you can use a soft topper with ? What do you see as the advantages or disadvantages of each...
well S----- I just talked to max mod and withthe hard tonneau 3 piece cover you can add arack but You can't open the cover !!! so why even bother with one or the other? Any one want to buy a hard 3 piece tonneau cover?
In the recent edition or trek or trails or some multi subject mag about guns jeeps and similar there is a picture of a ford midsize with an Rtt 2 kayaks and 2 bikes ona hitch. I think it said hilcox or something similar I am thinking along the same lines.
