Now any vehicle can be made a Launch Edition, even the extra special one of 419 (before they decided to make 4190 of them).
(Posted in the FB group, not me, so don't flame me, just sharing for the laugh).
Hopefully there is someone on here who is buying from your dealer too. @jncomatrix and I both are getting Granite LEs from the same dealer, and we compare notes from time to time to see if our dealer is giving the same story.
I bought the Mopar bed cross bars from moparpartworld.com, which is...
Good news Punk'n folks. They started build today, a few days ahead of schedule (per this guy who works in the plant). Sounds like order banks are still closed, so these must be pre-specs.
Ha. Ordered 4/3 (99 days and counting) and Jeep still won't even give us a build date. At least you have hope of it starting to be built. You don't know the definition of waiting...
My dealer (Kent @ Peterson in Idaho) just called to give me an update. All of his Granite LEs are still in C status (a month or so ago he said a few were in D status). Said he is hounding his production rep, and they expect movement on the Granite LEs in the next week or so (same his assistant...
Yeah, there are people that ordered LEs that were never delivered LEs. If they don't, there will be hell to pay.
Someone from the factory said they are planning to build replacements.
Think it's more specifically one of these:
KZ OG – damaged vehicle, stolen vehicle, abandon to carrier, vehicle scrapped, donate vehicle, repair and auction
KZ Y1 – major damage – must not be sold as new
Think you are on to something. Jeep has said they are having problems with the Granite Crystal Metallic paint. The problem is the paint makes the JT fragile like crystal. So to ship them they put red and black protective coating on them that is removed by the dealer. That train had the entire...
Same here. You'd think Jeep/Mopar would have had the capacity listed, at least in the manual. Mopar STILL doesn't list it on their site.
The RAM bars state the crossbars are rated to 150 lb., but look like they have metal brackets vs. the JT plastic ones...
Was kind of thinking the same thing with my Granite LE, which after 98 days still hasn't moved out of C status. Pretty sure mine wasn't on there.
So, I tried to run some numbers today. A whole lotta what ifs/assumptions, but this is what I'm seeing as possible (even if not desired).
In this post...
And another one bites the dust! Congrats on getting to enjoy yours in 2019! I guess you will be glad to have it. ;)
If I were to cave, Silver would be the way I'd go too. Just looking for a change from my Silver Grand Cherokee.
I will say, of the 3 different stories I heard today, they all...
OK. So I'm hearing three completely different stories today. And you wonder why we continue to be so frustrated:
@JeepCares says Granite LEs started build this week
The Jeep concierge line continues to tell us that they may start building Granite LEs by the end of the month (but no guarantee)...
What's your build? Granite LE? If so think you are the first we've heard in D1 with a build date.
I know several of us Granite LE folks checked today after the @JeepCares update but we are all STILL in C after nearly 100 days.
Edit: found your build on this thread. Glad for you, but...
Jeep doesn't see cancelled orders. The dealers probably won't cancel, it will still get delivered to the dealer in addition to their allotment, and they will sell it like any other JT on the lot.
