I took my 2017 Ram 1500 and had it undercoated and rust proofed with TST. Never had a problem with the Ram so I immediately did my 23 Gladiator. I drove Ram on dirt, gravel and off road a ton. Never peeled flaked or came off.

If you are wanting to do this because the license plate light is over powering the reverse lights I found the best fix was pair of diode dynamics reverse lights. Get the brightest of the 2 options. Problem solved. I did it a few days ago. See pics as proof
