I almost went this route. Is that the Wilco mount? I heard it had a few vibration issues or that’s what I was going with. I’m happy overall with my decision. I use my trailer more than my bed. The beds are tiny on these anyways.
It’s my Jeep? It’s not below anymore because I’ve damaged my spare on departures as I typically don’t have a spotter with me. Nearly punctured it as well. I like it and figured I’d share my experience just in case someone was looking at buying one.
Love your setup! And very well said! There is a ton of options and you just pick what you like. I’ve been flamed on Facebook for doing this it’s great. I just did what I liked and after beating the snot out of my spare I decided I’d rather mount it where it won’t puncture. I wheel quite often...
All valid points I went with what I liked. Here or anywhere else I’m catching a lot of grief for this. Did it out of personal opinion. I like the looks and the Quick access of the bed mount.
I definitely considered that. That was option one until I priced it all out. I’d rather spend that money on a regear and air locker which is next on my list
I wanted the Aev one badly. The great thing about either mount is two bolts and unscrew the upper carrier and the tire is out. I have a trailer for when I need to carry anything larger than the bed.
I nearly punctured it twice in one day with it mounted beneath. It hangs quite a bit lower than the hitch when fully inflated. My spare has a nasty rash from scraping over a rock as well.
Also thought it kind of looked cool. I know it’s not for everyone.
Little Friday project. The return of useable bed space! Before I had my full size spare strapped to the floor of the bed. Hated taking my spare in and out even for small stuff.
Installed Mopar Trail rails, Builtright front molle panel and last but not least a DV8 Vertical bed side tire mount...

Looking for a back up set of black plastic sport fenders. In Ohio preferably or in Michigan as I’m up there once a month to wheel. Just want to have them for when it’s time to sell my Jeep.
Bundee offroad park in Jerome Michigan. Great park and staff however the trails are too small for our trucks. Held a lot of people up trying not to rip my tail lights and bed side off.
Went to Bundee offroad park in Jerome Michigan. Wouldn’t recommend the actual trails themselves very very tight for a gladiator. One too many close calls from ripping fenders off to smashing the bed side.
