Iām in a search as well for the same. Iāve searched hard on line for the last couple of months, in my area UT by far have the most online, avg price is $3K, below that the threshold is mostly stripped out off wrecks and banged up pretty bad, or at least beyond my autobody repair capabilities. I...
Yep and Yep, my job for thirty years was to separate fools from their money, and I was good at it. The focus for a successful deal is to know how their business works and put that knowledge to the test.
Most dealerships (large and small) have an appraiser on site, itās their job to evaluate your trade in and establish a number to the sales pukes or their to their controller. Most times they will not let you dialogue with them. If sales is trying to beat your trade in down, with a short list...
No not yet, but a snatch block cures most of those ills if needed.
Taking it out this weekend and will give you an update.

Weird you should say thisā¦lay one of the rock rails on the ground in front of your jeep facing parallel with the grill, step back away and lookā¦itās the exact same curve as the front of the hoodā¦so it is pre-bent for you with the same shape. There you go. Iām picking up another free set of...
Welding Aluminum is a hard, compared to steel. Thick aluminum is almost impossible unless you have a $10k welder. A friend who does it for a living, told me aluminum gets easier after your first five miles of welds.
Got got my new steel rear bumper and about to add (my version) of bed skids to it using a free set of rock railsā¦put them under the hot knife then relocated the plastic end plugs. About finished with the frame bracing brackets. I hate throwing out hard has hell 10 GA steel.
Get your tires rebalanced and a front end alignment before you go. Carry oil, antifreeze, power steering juice. If your travels take you to CO,UT,WY, ID, MT, NV carry a set of tire chains, real ones not that cable crap. Water, blankets, and food. In these states Any time of year travel can drop...
I use the sharpie on the high and low marks on every plastic fluid container under the hood⦠helps out with my old eyes on my quick check before every adventure.
Q. How in the hell did you not roast and melt anything and everything around the axle tube with that mapp gas at 3600 degrees F with the axle still connected? ( to Dans point this knowledge is way above my welding pay grade as well)
How much longer will ko2ās stay in production? Ko3ās have been out in limited sizes for awhile nowā¦finding a new one if you tear one up might be a challenge.
