I agree completely with you on this! A lot of people I think (I think) that the ceramic coating is something you can spray on and be done with, almost like a spray quick detailer. Thank you for sharing this video. Hopefully more people will realize what goes into the whole process.

I've been skeptical as well, but seeing the differences in paint alone is worth it to me. It looks amazing. I don't know what color you have, but if there is any metallic or pearl in it, it makes a WORLD of difference!

Nope. I'm sure I'd have to sell it outright. I flew down to Phoenix last year and drove it back. Not a speck of rust on that thing! It's a blast to drive, 5 speed and rear wheel drive! I'm not trading my other car either...

I am getting a manual transmission as well. I am ordering one from @spenchey, who I am sure is getting annoyed with me by now. The Hydro Blue is set to start on 8/5 so I was hoping they may open it here within the next couple weeks? Hopefully it won't take terribly long to get it. I'd like to be...
There is a guy here in Des Moines that I had talked to about this just the other day. I am going to get mine done as well with the ceramic coating. He said he would do the 6yr warranty for $1000 if I took it to him right after getting it home. Otherwise it would be another $200.

I am waiting on Hydro Blue as well. I did notice this when comparing a couple models on Jeep's site. When I looked at the Rubicon, all colors were 'available'. When I went back to my Overland build, it shows the usual late colors as 'late availability' again. I would guess it was a glitch...
The wait is killing me!!!! I thought maybe Jeep would be cool and open ordering on July 4 as kind of a celebration... clearly that didn't happen. Hopefully only another week or two?

I am very curious if you put it in ECON mode if you will see better mpg. If not, I don't really see much of a benefit for myself. I can definitely see this as a great product for several folks though!

I am totally green with all of this.. Have you seen an increase in mpg with the iDrive? I don't do much if any trail driving so I'm not worried about the rock crawling part. Just curious how well this actually works. To throw in another wrench, I wonder how well it would work with the manual...
I have the Fluid Film kit at home, but haven't tried it yet. I wasn't sure if I should do any other types of coatings prior to using it or not. I just REALLY don't want it to rust, I HATE rust!! I live in Iowa, so we use that crappy brine stuff as well. It hurts my heart seeing all these really...
Anyone on here do 'rustproofing' do their truck? I plan on doing the Line-X bed liner, but also plan on keeping this thing for a loooooong time. Here in Iowa, rust is almost inevitable and I hate it with a passion. Curious if anyone is doing anything to protect the rest of the panels.

I checked this out here in Des Moines, Iowa. I was looking to order mine with a the spray in from the factory. I found out that it has the 3 year warranty and then called Line-X here in Des Moines. Line-X says they will do it for $450 and another $100 if I want the extra UV coating. Lifetime...
