  1. Proven 3.5-4" Lift

I’ll have a Rock Krawler on soon.. still gotta order the shocks. The one thing I really like is that RK offers diesel specific springs. Some of the others use the gas springs and provide a spacer to make up the height difference due to the diesel weight. You could always research the best...
  2. Lighter weight 37's

General Grabber MT and the Yokohama MT ( not the crazy looking ) are some of the lightest 37s available. I went with Nitto Trail Grapplers. Now if my wheels and lift would show up I’d. E good to go.
  3. 2022 Rumors?

There will need to be a few things to figure out. 1. Larger radiator with more fin count. There’s room. 2. Air flow. Open the grill slots up more. The outers are blocked. 3. A larger fan capable of moving more air through the radiator core. 4. I may add functional good louvers and aluminum...
  4. 2022 Rumors?

There damn sure is a cooling issue. Along the central coast in California up Questa Grade pulling only 3400 lbs, it went to 240+ on coolant and 260+ on oil temp. Ambient was 80ish degrees. It what world is that acceptable? How about Baker Grade on Hwy 15 going to Vegas? Ever been up that one? 18...
  5. 2022 Rumors?

Since I didn’t have a week to read through 52 pages..... 1. Address, improve and recall the diesel JTs for cooling improvements. The factory should be doing it, if not, then the aftermarket. The cooling is just not adequate for and sort of towing in anything above 70 degree weather. Today I was...
  6. Rubicon diesel on 37s

Nittos have been on a national back order for a while. They are just now starting to trickle in. I got a set of 37s in my shop waiting on the wheels to show up. I got in on an order with 2 of my friends and they took 4 months to show up. I wasn’t in any hurry so no big deal.
  7. Ecodiesel power derating as temps rise?

Hmmm... yesterday I flat towed my 3400lb TJ to the coast (Pismo Beach) on Hwy 46. Outside temps were 95 ish. I saw the coolant as high as 236, oil temp spiked to 257, trans never over 205. I wasn’t pushing it and was maintaining 60-70 depending on grade and traffic. I’m a gear head and have...
  8. Eco diesel Suspension bottoming out on normal roads

Hello Kate, How do I get added to the list? My JT Rubicon Diesel ( 83 miles on it) bottoms over small bumps that my 220k mile 17 yr old Suzuki Forenza doesn’t even come close to.. This issue really needs to be evaluated and corrected as soon as possible. Thanks Shannon Duncan
  9. Eco diesel Suspension bottoming out on normal roads

I picked up my new JTR diesel last week.. on the way home it bottomed so hard on small bump that i seriously thought something had broke. The next day it did it again on a small gutter on my street.. (mind you I hit it going slower that I do in my 220k mile beater commuter car that doesn’t come...
  10. VOIDED Factory Warranty after taking it through mud

My opinion.. which is as useless as any others... 1. There is a distinct difference between mud in an alternator and water in an alternator. Mud will immediately cake up and dry due to the heat, water will run off and there is usually no side effects. 2. I can’t understand why you’d take a new...
  11. 6.4L V8 Hemi (392) possibly "real world" testing for future Gladiator model

Since I already own a V8 powered TJ, I’d definitely want the V8 JT. The only issue is going to be price and when it’s available. It would probably be way cheaper to do the V8 conversion in my current JT.. it’ll be paid off by the time they offer a 6.4 version.. if they actually do..
  12. Time to Max Out the Max Tow Axles

Fair enough then.. like I said.. just curious.
  13. Time to Max Out the Max Tow Axles

May I ask a question? You’ll have by your guess $5k or so in parts and then (my guess, $2500) in labor.. sound about right? So back to my question... why didn’t you just order a set of Ultimate 60s? Yea.. they are $11k ish, but you’re damn near there with what you’re already spending. Buy the...

  15. What’s everyone using for oil?

Fine by me.., but do you really think Costco makes synthetic oil?? It’s coming out of the same refineries that major brands do.. in fact I just looked at my second container.. manufactured by Warren Industries.. they make oils for lots of major corporations... And bet your whatever... royal...
  16. What’s everyone using for oil?

Costco 0-20w synthetic. $24 for 10 quarts. It’s rated same as all the other 0-20 oils.
  17. Review and comparison: Towing my TJ with the JT, max towing the Overland

I currently own a 16 ft steel deck car hauler that I’ve used for several years to haul my TJ on.. however, now that I bought a golf cart, am looking into a motor home purchase, and plan to tow with my JTR as well, I’m looking at an H &H 20 ft aluminum to buy and will sell my 16 ft steel...
  18. Review and comparison: Towing my TJ with the JT, max towing the Overland

I’ve towed a small car on my 16 ft steel trailer but not my TJ yet. I may spring for an aluminum trailer as I want to take my golf cart some times.. A 20 ft Aluma would be the ticket and let me stay within the tow weight ratings.
  19. Parting together Mopar lift with Aftermarket shocks

Are the Fox shocks in the kit 2.0 or 2.5?
  20. Factory Trailer Brake Controller releases ...EDIT: STILL WAITING

I finally got fed up waiting.. I bought the plug n play Tekonsha harness and mounted my Prodigy P3 the other day... I don’t even notice that it’s there.
