I'd be happy with the regular 5.7L Hemi V8 that came in the Ram with cylinder shut off technology.
If you need more than 395bhp and 425ft-lbs. then you're into different things than I am.
I've always preferred C&D for actual reviews and Automobile for their photos. MT was not even in my list. I'd actually go to R&T for their quick articles before MT.
But yeah... whatever. They don't like the JT but the real customers don't agree by the sales numbers beating the Tacoma, Ranger...
I got the all weather slush mats with the drain plugs. The Weather Tech has higher sides to hold more quarts so they probably figure you can dump it without having to drain it directly out like the factory mats.
If you didn't get the slush mats the JT comes with the carpet mats which makes no...
I think it's a Dodge thing. I asked the dealer andthe they said they can't turn it off unlike the Ford which can be programed to not have the dome light on.
The only other thing is that you don't use the auto headlight setting. Seems that has something to do with it as it only turns on when...
Funny. I chose my JT over the Colorado which was the first choice before I thought about the JT. The Ranger was a second choice to the Colorado. BTW, I was looking at 2WD trucks as I don't use 4WD enough to justify the costs.
The Colorado was a nice truck with a dampened tail gate, corner...
Actually, it's not so much she has to slam the doors but she's so used to the heavy heft of the German steel door that she doesn't modulate for a light flimsy fiberglass door. Then again, maybe she was mad at me and I didn't register.
I love my JT and it has impressed me beyond my expectations coming from a JKU. The little things that I can nitpick can be overlooked as it's not that big a deal. I know what I was getting into with the JT so it is what it is.
If I wanted a flashy car that will rip around corners and...
Try being with a woman who's used to German cars with heavy doors... I have had many expensive fiberglass doors slammed on weekend outings because she doesn't modulate her strength for the car she is in.
Good for you. I did the same thing and gave up my weekend fun toy for a car that I can enjoy everyday in any weather. Sure it's more utilitarian and not flashy but paying good money every month for a flashy toy that's parked 330+ days of the year makes no sense in my retirement.
The standard vehicle alarm and immobilizer works decently. Add cameras and a dog in the yard for additional deterrence. Lock your hood and gas cap. Not much can be done with the spare though. Haven't seen a locking spare setup like how my old GMC had.
