I've had both and both are fine for my needs but that open bed does let you haul big things with ease compared to trying to fit it in the back of the wrangler and folding down the seats too.

I had a Ram crew cab hemi. Love that truck. Super comfortable and great mpg. The only problem is it's too big sometimes to maneuver in urban areas but I wouldn't hesitate to get either one.

Don't know if I would get a wrangler to go with my gladiator. Had a wrangler which was replaced by the Gladiator. I like variety in the fleet. I'll get similar cars as replacement or upgrade but not all at the same time. There must be a family car (which the Gladiator serves), a fun sports car...
