Jay, I had to get a OE LED headlight and signal this past summer after a deer strike. Was not going to pay Mopar price. My dealer agreed and suggested I go to rockauto. They had both of what I needed for much, much less.
Cool thread...
Its time for me to replace OE JTM bumper with a OEJTR steel bumper, new winch plate for the new 12K winch, hopefully sell the fishbone 1/2 rack and get a new full high bed rack, install new fender flares and get new 35’s to replace the OE33’s. lots of fun starting in 2 weeks...
Great information…. I will be installing a new JTR take off on my JTM with the same winch. I choose the warn winch plate though. I have the wire rope that will be replaced soon after.
These responses are awesome. The new / takeoff bumper already have the factory fog lights installed so no issue there as far as I can see. Doing the trimming on the ground is a great idea.
I will look at the warn winch plate.
Old bumper in dumpster is the plan since it was the victim of a deer...
I am replacing my factory JTM bumper with a factory steel JTR bumper. What issues will I face? Also, I am going to install a badlands 12K winch, what would be a good winch plate for this install. I am looking at the Harbor Frt. universal plate. Good idea or not?
I am looking at replacing my current half rack to a full hight rack. I love the idea of this rack system and all the mounting possibilities. is there a way to make this a full hight rack? Main reason is to mount the 270 awning and we want it to be above the cab.
They are all down. North America is not alone. Look at the inventory on all lots and the rebates being offered. It is difficult to afford with the high interest rates. I am waiting to purchase a new Jeep Grand Cherokee Summit after the election, although not financing it I will be taking...
Nice, we were looking at buying a Gand Cherokee in the next couple weeks (depending on election) but maybe we will wait a little longer for these to hit the lots. Not so interested in EV, maybe come with 3.6 or hemi? Love our JTM...
You are correct about the group camping, in an open field with many, many, many others. There were 25-30 vendors that sell everything overland and just a great time learning. Classes and lectures are offered all day long. There are trail runs throuout the weekend as well. My wife did a ladies...
We have fallen in love with this setup. It pulls awesome. We had to remove the OE suspension, put Timbren under this trailer with wheel spacers and Jeep wheels. We love that we can stand in the trailer and change.
The awning came with 2 brackets but are to short for the half racks. I purchased additional brackets. I then cut the slotted piece off to raise the mounts. Still had to get 3" UHMW to raise it.
