Ive done the above and it works great will give you several inches. Think of a picture frame. Just cut the sheetrock and reframe the number area. Prob a 2'x6' area.

Yes, you have to order AJ1 to get ALP. Would be nice if Jeep included AJ1 on all vehicles for safety reasons. However, I do get lots of people do not want AJ1, so those that do are required to pay a little extra.
Would this new hood vent help with air flow and cooling on the eco? I'm not worried about the water intrusion based off what the original poster documented, particularly since I avoid water crossings deeper than 12".

The frame bending would happen far after the shocks compress due to the tongue weight (see around the 11 minute mark of the video). I would guess your winch distributes the weight where as the tow hitch centers the weight on the frame behind the shocks.
