I would have asked the lady if she wanted a ride. She might have fond memories driving in a Jeep with her late husband. As to kids leaning on it & pretending to own it... Joey Tribianni's Porsche comes to mind.
Compared to every other solid front axle ladder frame truck that I have driven, the Gladiator is the best highway ride by far.
It is slightly worse highway ride than previous XJ & ZJ (cherokee/grand cherokee), but those were unibody not ladder frame (not "real" trucks). But not by much. And...
*holy crap, that's expensive!" Is what I said 2 years ago when Gladiators hit the dealerships & they were selling for $60 -80k in my area. About 3 weeks ago, I learned that prices settled down to $38 to 48k. Needless to say, I have owned mine for 2 weeks, lol.
Wait... all Willys come with the transfer case & gas tank skid plates. Also the rock sliders rails from the Rubicon too. For a mild trail, you should need nothing in a sport, letalone a willys
I had good luck with past TJ Wranglers. Other than bird poop (which I have already got in my <2 week old JT, lol), I often went days at a time with top off, doors off, or both with no animal issue.
Now, bugs are another story. When the carpet gets wet & top goes back up (like if you put top...
I have the LED option, but no suspension angle sensor on my 21 Willys JT. Mine is a US model for US market, though. Might be mandatory in pickup trucks tagged in other countries.
Call it "posers" or "fronting" or "little D syndrome". Just like the guy at the gun range with the latest & greatest most expensive guns that can barely hit paper, or the guy at the golf course with new clubs every 6 months and a 20 handicap.
Me? I'm the guy with an old service gun that has...
I've always ran soft doors on my jeeps. Leaving doors unlocked and nothing of real value in them. That way, would-be thieves don't slash up expensive soft doors or soft top. They can have my toll money or phone charger, but at least they don't destroy $1k in door or top cloth.
Do you have headlights that automatically adjust angle (so you don't blind other drivers when carrying a load)? If so, that is the sensor that controls headlight angle.
We shall see. I have about 30 minute 60mph drive up I-83 to get to fireworks tomorrow. Hoping for the best. This is definitely going to be stronger than some of the flagpoles that I tried in the past.

I just bought the pieces to make this at local Lowes Hardware for $38. The bare hitch was $14 at Harbor Freight. Will take pictures tomorrow when assembled.
Going to see how she does with my 26' 3900lbs empty / 5900lbs max Trail-Lite camper. Usually about 4700lbs with propane, water, & clothes/food for a camping trip. I will be using my weight distribution hitch. Will update afterwards.
One wheel is brightness of interior lights. One is timer for how long the dome & headlights stay on after door is shut or lock button pushed on the keyfob.
FL, UT, & PA. Nice job hitting western, Mid-Atlantic, & Southern states in one Jeep. I'm hoping to getting to trails out west in 2023.
2021 I'm focused on east-coast trails, 2022 dialing-in my 338 Lapua & doing an elk hunt,, 2023 seeing what a Gladiator can do in Moab & Rubicon Springs.
Yeah. Wife & i are staying near Hershey PA for a concert on 7/12 (Monday). Will be getting there late on 7/10 (Saturday) so we can hit Rausch Creek on 7/11 (Sunday). Looking to arrive at Rausch around 10am Sunday 7/11. PM me or email [email protected] if you want to join up. Would...
