I started using a tender through the trailer plug to keep them topped off immediately after I replaced both batteries. I did not drive my truck enough to keep them charged. I did it that way for years with no issue.

Hagerty is great. I have them for several vehicles. However, they do not write for a daily driver and won't write for a modern car unless its pretty rare. They also have use and mileage limitations.

My '21 warranty stated: It does state it covers parts that have holes. But, it also states "Cosmetic or surface corrosion may be covered under the warranty". It also states that exterior finished-painted parts that someone can see when walking around the vehicle are covered for 5 years.

Don't forget to take multiple pictures of your vehicle from all angles, as well as of each wheel, when you take it to a dealership. It saved me twice when they damaged my trucks and denied that they did it. After arguing with me, I proceeded to show them my photos, taken at their dealership...

I use a Battery Tender all the time on mine. I made an adapter to plug into the 7 pin trailer plug in the back.
