  1. A different kind of question about tonneau covers…

Children require a level of equipment and gear only equaled by an Everest summit attempt from base camp 4. It's a lot of stuff. It will eventually be a lot of dirty stuff, and then it will be all their friend's stuff too. I never liked tonneaus - until I got one. I'll never go without one...
  2. jump syarting another vehicle

.....and no one wants to hear someone else's
  3. 1st ever post- and I Got a Blowie

you're a marketing genius, and right out of the gate too.
  4. What Jeep stereotypes are actually true?

80% of us aren't sure which WENCH will wince when you WINCH with wrenching witches.....BITCHES. Just Kidding. Great community. Generous sharing of knowledge. Everyone here would probably go out of their way to help you out in a jam. JEEPS create a special gravitational vortex that attracts...
  5. What is an unpopular opinion you have in the Jeep community?

I was going to name my JEEP - PIZZA P___Y SANTA, because everyone likes at least one of those things, but the naming thing wasn't for me. So I just named my kids.
  6. Yay or Nay and Why?

So I'm going out on a limb here, but are eyelashes on the Gladiator Verboten.
  7. Riding on the highway, hitting bumps, white knuckles at times

My stock JT RUBI was really jumpy on the highway. First Jeep, but I heard they handle the way they handle, fine by me. Drove off the lot on Falken M/T's with tire pressure at 40psi. I got pushed around by big rigs like a paper cup, and every bump in the road was an adventure in crisis...
  8. Stupid question: spare tire with 37’s?

Falken Wildpeak AT3 37x12.5x17 will fit inflated to 36psi. I'm also using the Clayton Bent adjustable rear track bar to be sure I have clearance. I also found the cheapest ,( $100 ), 9.5"- 0 offset wheel I could find so when used it would'nt look completely weird. I did not feel comfortable...
  9. upgraded today

Once you go proximity, you won't go back. Tugging on a key FOB is a little barbaric after that. First world problems.
  10. Tacoma vs. Gladiator

I am a recovering Tacoma owner, 2 trucks over 18 years, cannot say a bad thing about them. Always loved Jeeps, always needed a truck, but I could never justify having both. The Gladiator came along and it was a no brainer. Each truck is a different animal in just about every respect, but I don't...
  11. EV - not ready for the masses?

I want my EV Gladiator, (or PHEV), the masses are ready. At least they will be. If you don't think so, I respect that, and I have a crate full of buggy whips for sale. ICE's aren't going to disappear anytime soon, but they do pollute alot for a daily driver. I spend 99% of my driving year...
  12. Any reason not to get a spray in bed liner? Any considerations I'm missing?

The spray in liner wasn't available in the truck I got either. I was going to LineX it first chance I got. Well that didn't happen, I wound up realizing the floor took the beating, not so much the side walls. So I got the Bed Rug instead. It's 25% of the cost of LineX, easy on the knees...
  13. Opus 15...

I was eyeballing the OP15 too, but eliminated it from my list because it was too close to MAX limits. I am now eyeballing the RKS Purpose, a square drop with a full sized stand up shower and REAL toilet. The roof weight capacity is 1000lb, so RTT on top for the kids, there is an exterior port to...
  14. Favorite color you didn’t buy…

GOBI looks seriously cool when done right
  15. Dear Jeep

Every man has journeyed that road, and to each his own decision to stay or move on is his alone. I hope you find happiness in the embrace of another. I too was a dedicated TACO man, but the siren song of the JTR captured my undying admiration; stronger now than ever before. When they turn on you...
  16. How do you plan to drive your Gladiator?

I daily drive through the mean streets of Orange, CA. The potholes are brutal, the bridge expansion joints require a level of reckless abandon only the JTR can serve up, and don’t leave your courage at home when the phenomenon of water orbs fall from the sky every other year. This is why I...
  17. Needed components to piece together 2-2.5 inch lift kit?

Personally, I did not find a lift kit that had all the components I wanted, and most kits had components I would have switched out. That said, all the lift kits mentioned in this thread are excellent choices, but I couldn't decide. So, I pieced mine together in order to check all my boxes. Doing...
  18. First Jeep, is this normal? (Steering)

The play looks fairly normal. It's more common to migrate right due to road crown. What's your tire pressure? Dealers send you off with 42psi which will manifest all kinds of weird steering feel. When / if you add a lift, maybe consider a sector shaft brace, that helps to remove a little slop...
  19. Alpine Premium Audio Worth It?

8.4 screen YES, sub woofer behind back seat - better than a sharp stick in the eye. It encourages some bass. The premium audio is a good place to start. At least until you know what you ultimately want to do. It actually sounds decent for what it is. I wound up just changing out, and up sizing...
  20. What green is this?
