  1. Texas Yakima Long Arm ($175); Bed Rail Crossbars ($100)

Well, we are parting with our Mojave so have a few items we won't be needing any longer. We are in Austin. Not pictured but I have all the required brackets and bolts for the cross bars. Yakima Longarm $175 (Save $84) Bedrail cross bars $100, (Save about $100). These were not any...
  2. Hail bashed my hood - 392 replacement?

Tuesday's 3 hailstorms did a number on the hood of our Mojave. After a quick trip to the paintless dent repair guy, he told us that since the hood is aluminum, he can't do anything for us and it would need to be replaced. So that sucks. However, the fake scoop always kinda bugged me as only a...
  3. Pieced together a solar hood panel kit on Amazon

uh...seems like a lot for what purpose? To buy a new battery every 3-4 years instead of every 2? That seems like a long payback period to me. Being in SF, I would think your battery doesn't take the heat beating ours does down here. Does this thing permanently rest on your hood or do you...
  4. Anybody else using a wireless portable compressor?

oh boy...i've been looking for an inflation solution. I too have been a home owner hooked on the Ryobi tools but really like that Milwaukee form factor, which would mean new battery...new charger...plus both on board. ugh...decisions decisions....
  5. Beach driving tires

last year we drove down PINS (65 miles of beach one way) in Texas. stock mojave, stock tj rubicon and stock GMC diesel (range of tire types). Some of us aired down, none of us got stuck driving. Even had some 20 somethings driving the TJ like...well...20 year olds and didn't get stuck. The...
  6. Rented a 4xE JL in AZ and wheeled it...interesting experience

@NoDoorsNoProblem We will be in Sedona in May and intend to do some wheeling. We are in a stock Mojave. Any concerns about the JT length on any of the obstacles on this trail? This is only about the half way point of our trip before heading to the North Rim, and we have to drive back to Texas...
  7. Bestop Granite Series 60% Off Deal

Woops. Maybe I’m the one who’s messed up ;)
  8. Bestop Granite Series 60% Off Deal

I used a 3/4 wrench to hold the locking nuts while I tightened with the sockets. And you'll need a good box cutter blade (and recommend leather gloves) if you're cutting the plastic bumper.
  9. Bestop Granite Series 60% Off Deal

Picked up the Bestop rear rock rails on the sale - what a deal. The first one took about an hour. The second one probably took less than 30. Instructions could be better. I couldn't find anything labeled, bolt part numbers in the instructions are inconsistent. Once I figured out what was what I...
  10. Adding extra lights to the bed

Finally got around to wiring up some waterproof led strip lights. I ended up buying a spool and skipping the fancier options with a switch. I stuck them under the bed rails and wired them into the existing bed lights. Big difference. I wish the lights I bought came with leads about an inch...
  11. Hidden Falls this weekend, any tips?

I'm planning a trip out there with a couple of buddies in a week or so. I'm essentially in stock mojave that is my wife's daily so banging it up would be ... err ... not well received. I see different opinions here on the need for a hitch skid. We don't intend to be doing any of the extreme...
  12. Anyone running Morimoto 2 or 4banger for ditch lights?

I didn't see on your website that you had these in a flood option, just the spot. Did I miss them?
  13. Anyone running Morimoto 2 or 4banger for ditch lights?

Seen a few posts about morimoto headlights, but none on actual experience with their ditch lights. Looking at a 2banger flood set and curious if anyone has experience with them, plus or minus. Thanks
  14. Adding extra lights to the bed

@Minty JL Do you recall which light strips you used?
  15. Oracle Bumper Light install how-to: Direct to Aux only

That’s a great idea  That’s a good idea if you only need them for 30 seconds or whatever the timer is. or don’t mind lighting up the camp ground when hunting for something in your bed at night. maybe something to keep this in mind if I need to reclaim the aux switch in the future.
  16. Oracle Bumper Light install how-to: Direct to Aux only

Yes I’m sure there is. I didn’t look for one. I was running wire up front anyway. It cost me a $6 roll of wire to ground up front.
  17. Oracle Bumper Light install how-to: Direct to Aux only

After searching here, I didn't find a write up on how others had done this before so thought I'd add this here for the next person who wants to do the same. My objective was to wire the Oracle Reverse Bumper lights directly to the Aux switch, and not into the reverse lights themselves. The...
