Anyone here installed these and have any experience with them? I'm looking for some off-road lights and on my JK experienced the hood glare (esp hood covered in dust). This seems like a good option (along with the side mount). For $400 thought, would like some feedback from anyone on them...
A lot of this has been covered but will second/seventeenth some of them:
ESS memory from last setting
wireless CarPlay. for some reason the switch to the usb-c connection means the iPhone isn't remembered. it either takes too long to find it or we have to plug and unplug multiple times at...
The trip back to Texas is a long one as well. I guess the trail in Arches was a doozy? Everything I've read on what we intend to do suggests it should be fun but nothing particularly technical. With all the land in Texas private, we've got to put some miles behind us to do anything like this...
Thanks. I'd love to camp but my wife's camping days are behind her. She's well past putting on shoes and headlamps for the midnight pee. We'll be doing an out and back. We are talking about staying for sunset (depending on the conditions of the road out in good light), which means I'm...
How was your trip? Any trail recommendations? My wife and I are planning a trip in May to the North Rim and seeking out 1-2 good trails. candidates right now our Point Sublime Trail and, maybe, Jumpup Point trail. We won't be towing/camping so will need to return to Kaibab Lodge each night...
I'm appreciating this thread - thank you all. I too struggle with poor visibility in reverse, esp when there is dust or debris on the camera (they should have added the 'wash camera' feature to the rear camera as well). Anyway, considered Tazr to kill the license plate lights, but for $300+...
I've never seen any mounted off to the side like this. I like the idea for visibility sake. How's the noise? Any issues with door opening or anything else?
I didn’t realize this was a thing. Recently have had some noises from back right when first starting out for the day and it was bothering me. So it’s normal?
Nice looking jeep and photos. Sting Gray was my choice but when the Gobi came up I had to grab it. I have the same leather seats and love them. Mine is essentially stock save for some minor items. Right now my wife is using it as her daily since she likes the height to see around while in...
The rails are still available and for sale. If you're interested and in the Texas panhandle area, I'm driving to Lubbock this weekend and can bring them along. thanks...
I've got a 22 Mojave. The only time I saw 22MPG Highway was at 7000' in Colorado in the flats at a steady 65 MPH with no wind. I live in Texas where the interstate is 75-80 or get run over and we get 16-18 mpg. In town its closer to 15-16. The only mod I have is replaced the stock rock rails...
Austin Area. Hide-a-Step is Sold. Rails only for 100 or make offer. Replaced the stock rails from our Mojave for some full length steps for my wife and her friends to get in easier. Took off after about 9 months of ownership.
No docks at PINS. It's just you, what you bring, and what has washed ashore so be prepared. As the NPS page says, "The Longest Stretch of Undeveloped Barrier Island in the World".
PINS is where you want to go in that neck of the woods. https://www.nps.gov/pais/index.htm Took my JK and a buddy's TJ down there in October '21 and it was great. I think we only went down about 10-15 miles for one night. It's a pack it all in and out kind of place. Plenty of room to spread...
