  1. More problems with the shop that did my re-gear

It has been parked since the latest episode and is in the new shop today for diag/service
  2. More problems with the shop that did my re-gear

Thanks for the recommendation! Though too far for me, I’m sure someone will be able to use them!
  3. More problems with the shop that did my re-gear

Yeah pretty much what I was thinking as well. First time around they put too much preload on the pinion and smoked the bearing. I can’t believe a pinion that had that much play didn’t cause other damage. Hopefully it didn’t hurt the Eaton lockers
  4. More problems with the shop that did my re-gear

I have spent too much on the rest of it to do that. I will just have a new set of axles built by a reputable shop if this isn't made right
  5. More problems with the shop that did my re-gear

100% NOT Vegas 4 X 4. I should have taken it to American OffRoad Customs, who is probably gonna be the shop that ends up finishing the job.
  6. More problems with the shop that did my re-gear

Well this saga is continuing. Something popped in the rear diff today, accelerating from a stop light, and there is now a significant vibration in the driver's seat at anything above 40mph that gets worse with speed. There is also a screech under the initial accel, a "whirr" when decel/...
  7. More problems with the shop that did my re-gear

Thank you. I went with Dana/Spicer, as, in my opinion, they are the best. I am still learning all that goes on and has to go right in a diff change on a Jeep. I fear something else underlying in the front will not show up until a very inconvenient time. I did not get the warm fuzzy from the shop...
  8. More problems with the shop that did my re-gear

A few days ago, I posted about the service 4WD system light coming on in 4L after a re-gear. After programming in 5.13 gears this issue "seems to have gone away", but I have not had the chance to trail test it yet as there is now a new issue. My lack of faith in this shop is increasing. So after...
  9. Service 4WD Light about 500 miles after regear

**UPDATE*** So the shop that did the re-gear agreed that they should have programmed the gear ratio, so that was done and they gave me a Superchips programmer. I asked for a Tazer, and they said they could not sell me one due to the fact their management would not allow them to sell any devices...
  10. Service 4WD Light about 500 miles after regear

I would have thought the same thing. Guess I need a Tazer in my life
  11. Service 4WD Light about 500 miles after regear

Interesting. Didn't think about that. Being it is going into a sort of "limp mode" I agree it has to be some sort of sensor issue. My dilemma is to take it to the dealer or 4 X 4 shop that did the gears.
  12. Service 4WD Light about 500 miles after regear

I have a 2022 Sport, with @ 7000 miles on it. Just had 5.13 gear and Eaton e-lockers installed @ 500 miles ago. Was going to hit up a nice mellow trail today to try it out in 4H/4L. First off it was very hard to get into 4H and 4L which was weird as before the regear I never had that issue...
  13. Spicer gears on backorder

I ordered 5.13’s for my Gladiator 6 weeks ago from 4WP and they still show backorder. Is this normal? I am not a patient person and I really hate backordering anything. After a call to the store asking if I could cancel they miraculously found the parts and they will be here next week ??‍♂️
  14. Nevada AMP Research Powersteps - Price Drop!

Anything here? I really would like to get these out of the garage!
  15. 3.5” or 4.5” lift for off-road

Primarily rock crawling with a little desert trail running in the mix. We take it pretty chill in the desert so we don’t crack our skulls on the roll cage. It needs to still be streetable tho
  16. 3.5” or 4.5” lift for off-road

Ok adding to the “what lift is best for me” threads LOL. Finish my build and wondering what direction I should go. I am looking at Clayton, Evo and Metalcloak. I currently have a Sport with the max tow. It also has 5.13 gears and Eaton e-lockers. When I bought the Jeep I was told there was a 3...
  17. Steering stabilizer bracket issue?

Flipped and issue resolved! Thank you everyone!
  18. Steering stabilizer bracket issue?

Thank you. Taking a look at the other side, it is at the top of the tie rod. Drivers side is canted to the rear. Looks like whomever built this thing didn't pay super close attention to detail or it came loose and rotated on it's own. Should be an easy fix. Thank you!
  19. Steering stabilizer bracket issue?

Well it is a dual stabilizer, so there is a stabilizer & bracket on each side of the tie rod. I can probably rotate a couple degrees to the top of the tie rod to clear is my thought
