It was actually a very simple install. I messaged them on Facebook for a color version of the instructions, which were much better than the black and white I received with the mount. I thought about taking pictures and posting a DIY, but I couldn’t have done any better than the instructions. No...
Decided to replace the lug nuts with black ones in preparation for swapping to black wheels. On the last wheel, I sheered two of the lug studs before reaching the 130 ft/lbs of torque. Taking it to the dealer on Saturday to get it fixed.
I ordered mine at the beginning of February and it was good to go. It’s very close, but the template lines up with the rear camera and just barely covers the holes left from the Jeep emblem.
I’ve taken them up to 70 MPH. They got shaky, but I could still see well enough out of them for them to be useful.
Yep, Bartact black and OD Green. They fit well and do well against rain and dog slobber. The back seat cover didn’t fit as well as I would like, but I’d still buy it again.

Pulled the doors off today. I got Rugged Ridge trail mirrors to keep it legal. They don’t shake too much and the round mirrors give it a nice retro look I think.
Installed a fox steering damper today. It made more of a difference than I thought and it matches the factory rubicon shocks. Less than a ten minute install.
I had heard about the Rugged Ridge ones, but hadn’t seen them yet. They are super similar. If you haven’t checked them out, AAL has a really cool story and they have amazing customer service.
That’s exactly what it is. You also remove the bottom piece of the fender. They’re actually pretty easy to separate. American Adventure Lab makes the LED bracket and the inner fender armor.
Installed AAL’s high line LEDs and inner fenders on my gator. It added an insane amount of clearance. Painted their logo with mopar touch up gator to match.
Just finished installing American Adventure Labs High Line LEDs and inner fenders. It’s a pretty easy install and looks great. Plus plenty of room for when I step up to bigger tires.
I posted these on my build thread, but figured I'd put them here too. I added the Maximus-3 Stinger Loop and Smittybilt X20 winch to my Rubicon Gator. Next up is AAL highline LEDs and inner fenders.
Figured out what my Saturday is going to consist of. My Smittybilt X20, 10,000 lb winch with synthetic line, Maximus-3 winch mount, and Maximus-3 stinger loop arrived today.
Greetings all,
This won’t be anything groundbreaking. This is mostly for me to keep track of my progress. But, if I do something you like, let me know and I can tell you how I did it or where I got it from.
so I started with a Gator Rubicon
The first phase is mostly cosmetic. So far, I’ve...
No problem! Sorry for the crappy photos. I was using them so I didn’t forget how everything went together. I didn’t think about doing a DIY until later.
