It definitely sounds better and can't wait to get the passenger side in. I could not find my sound deadening material so I will have to search for that and I will put that in as well.
I spent about an hour and 20 minutes doing what I did today. Took it slow cutting out the first hole with the utility knife. The second one will take me about 10 minutes now that I know what I'm doing. My time included taking down both old covers, removing the 2 speakers on the drivers side...
So today I started my sound bar upgrade. Only had time to get one side completed. I do have the second one ready to install. I only have to trim the bar to finish the install. BIG shoutout to @WILDHOBO for the tip. Simply used a utility knife with new blade to cut out the enclosure for the new...
Yea I was thinking I needed to come up with a way to make that easier. I'm not sure I have a pry bar that long but I'm sure I'll figure something out. Appreciate the tip.
Know the feeling. Rotated my tires for the first time a few weeks ago. I was like holy crap these things are a lot heavier than my last vehicle. Had to sit with my legs spread around the tires to get enough leverage to lift them back up and on. Next time I will definitely only jack up the truck...
Don't feel bad. I have the same problem. Never get it right the first time., or the second time. Sometimes I just leave in in the bed with only one side zipped up.
Some people will go to any length to make themselves look or appear cool, at least in their mind. To me if you have to fake it, it doesn't mean anything. Kinda like if you are playing golf and you have to cheat to get a lower score you are only cheating yourself. The truth will come out when you...
FYI if you paid $99.95 for those, they are now $20 off. They have a 60 day price guarantee and you can call them and get the $20 refunded to you. Ask me how I know. ?
The question is.......where did the clip go? I lost many from the sail panels in my last truck that just disappeared inside the door never to be seen again.
I did replace to dash speakers and it really helped with the sound quality. It really brought out the highs that were missing while adding a little better mid as well. I also added some 3.5" to the sound bar but I was not impressed with the difference in sound in that area. That's why I am...
Yea I like the idea of the metal mount. By chance did you also install tweeters in the small opening? I'm thinking about going that route. I read somewhere that the 6.5 speakers actually sound better than the 6x9 in that area but I haven't heard either so I'm not sure how true that is plus sound...
Yea I've already added Infinity Reference speakers to the dash. Big improvement. Also added Kenwood 3.5" to the sound bar but not as impressed. I think I need something larger to get better sound in that area. Think I'll return those to Crutchfiled and try some 6.5" in that area. I'll probably...
Yea I remember reading where you installed those. I looking to spend less money than the price of those for sure. Just looking for a little better sound from the bar area. Like you said, I don't want them sticking down too low. I guess it would be best to go with the SSV Works as it would keep...
So I am looking to upgrade my sound bar speakers to 6 1/2". I am planning on using the Select Increments JLJT pods that don't require cutting or the SSV Works JJT SA065 adapters that do require cutting. I don't mind putting in the work to cut out the enclosure but I am curious as to the possible...
Yea I've read where a few had issues and that would be a nightmare on a trail. I'll check those tomorrow after work just to be on the safe side.
Edit. Thanks for the torque specs
