Disclosure: I'm old and forgetful. With that being said, If memory serves me, I believe I tapped into the wiring at the rear of the truck bed where the wiring goes up for the bed lights on the passenger side.

They are strong. One you get them on a flat spot they are hard to move. Mine haven't budged since I put them on.

Gotcha. Didn't know if you asking because you were looking for one or what. I had one like the RC on my last truck and that front panel stayed down. Lost some bed usage so I went with something different on the Gladiator.
