I love my Sport max tow.
I probably wouldn't bother shopping used. There are enough dealers out there that will discount new ones enough that you pay the same for a new one. Start by looking in the forums for dealers in your area discounting them.
With 1 email and no haggling I got a...
I assume you would lose about 1 foot of leg room in the backseat and gain about 1 foot of truck bed leaving the overall length the same. This is the formula basically every other truck maker uses between their crew and king cab configurations. The draw back would be that all the other truck...
I'm not aware of any changes to the Gladiator other then options being added/removed/repackaged.
As an example the max tow package now comes with a limited slip rear differential, originally the max tow package came with an open differential. I know there have also been several paint colors...
The VIN will show Sport whether you have a Sport or Sport S. The difference is whenever you have one of the B option packages or the S option packages.
Jeep advertises 4 trim levels but only breaks the paperwork into 3 trim levels and treats Sport and Sport S as the same in everything except...
There are 2 tow packages available on the Sport and Sport S. I copied this from Jeep's website:
Trailer-Tow Package
$350
240-Amp Alternator
Class IV Receiver Hitch
Heavy-Duty Engine Cooling
Trailer Hitch Zoom
Max Tow Package with 4.10 Axle Ratio
$1,245
240-Amp Alternator
245/75R17...
For about the first 4k miles I got 21-22 mpg. Since then I've gotten 23-24 mpg. This is a mix of city and highway but probably about 2/3 highway driving. I haven't hauled any heavy loads yet, but have pulled my 5x8 utility trailer with my motorcycle on it a few times without any noticeable...
I got mine because it checked all the boxes I wanted and needed. I also spent a little over half of that you are looking at. I paid about $36k out the door including taxes/tags/fees. But I wanted only the utilitarian options and none of the luxury stuff. I got a base sport with roll up...
You have a Sport S.
Both the Sport and Sport S have Sport on the tailgate and just say Sport on the window sticker. You will not find the phrase Sport S anywhere except on advertising materials and on the Jeep website. Jeep really screwed up by advertising 4 trims but treating it like 3 trims...
Are you accusing me of being a dealer? I'm not.
I'm just someone who owns a Gladiator Sport (the one with manual roll up windows) who can verify that I have a locking tailgate. It is standard equipment on all Gladiators.
This isn't true Sport has a lockable tailgate. You just have to use the key to lock and unlock it because the Sport doesn't have keyless entry or proximity locks.
I like having actual gauges. I just watched too many videos of about the Gladiator before buying one and thought it was neat that each trim level got it's own splash screen. It is not important and only disappointed me for like 5 minutes.
I don't regret getting the base sport. But if my lifestyle was different it might get annoying at times. I prefer manual door locks and windows but power mirrors would be nice.
I don't keep anything in my Jeep so I leave the doors unlocked. The glove box and center console lock so I can keep...
Yep there are dozens of us that intentionally ordered their Jeep with the 5 inch screen. Personally I dislike touchscreen only radios in cars but the big reason I made sure to get the 5 inch screen was that I prefer the climate control scheme because they take away one of the climate control...
Aux switches are an option on all trim levels. There are 2 versions of the Aux switches depending on what trim level you have, but the only difference is the color of the trim piece.
I got some take off steps from an Overland. There are 2 sizes of bolts that hold them on.
You will need 8 bigger bolts that go in vertically to hold the steps to the bottom of the Jeep and 16 smaller bolts with built in washers that go in horizontally through the seam in on the body of the...
I ordered from Criswell in Gaithersburg Maryland on January 27. On Friday it was built and transferred to the facility that does the bed liners, I hope to be pickin it up in a few weeks. They gave me 8% below invoice (5% for mentioning the forum, 1% for being a member of Tread Lightly, and 2%...
