I was browsing around the internet and came across this tire carrier that has other features that plugs into your hitch + a lil' somewhat affordable ($2100 but I also bought a lock and some other shenanigans).
The Quality is definitely top-tier. Just wish RiG'd Supply would make a set of...
Here are a couple of photos of where I have mine placed. You'll see on the last photo, I messed up a lil' smooch with the seal. Haven't had any issues what so ever (knock on wood).
As JaxMax mentioned, take your time and set it up right. I moved mine back like this, haven't had any water...
In your second pic, I placed mine a little closer to the edge so the water beads off. I can take some pics in the morning to give you an idea more or less.
