@Tacoman03 The latches in this kit DO NOT lock. I have seen different door hinge pin bolts, that have a different head that uses a different driver than the factory issue to uninstall and reinstall the doors. I believe these will work on the factory doors and any replacement doors.
@trez63 They were a fairly easy install. Fine tuning the latch takes a little patience. Once you get the latches set, no noise, rattle or any issues. the key is to find that sweet spot between and good easy close and no rattles. I installed them last week and rode topless the entire...
@billyjk7 This kit will work to raise the front seats. To add incline I installed spacers 1/2 the size of the ones in the kit at the rear of the seat rail, gained about 1inch of incline. Hope this helps
@WXman. so i wasn't comfortable with the seat mod. I kept the front blocks as designed and i removed the rear and replaced the with spacers half the thickness than the kit spacers. I had to make a run to get shorter studs, but now i have the recline where i want it Hope this helps
I tried that. The angle of the front right block prevents this. I got the two fronts bolted down, but then could not line up the rear of the rails to accept the factory studs. This was the option I was hoping to employ here to no avail. Eventually I think someone will come up with a better...
@WXman just installed the Ohio seat lift on the driver's side. Installed per the mfg instructions. There is some increased recline, approximately 1/2 inch. Take care to notice there is a locating pin on the console side front rail. You need to turn the block short side toward the console or...
Get the build sheet for your VIN and double check the build components. Its the only way I've found to verify the tow rating for your vehicle. Had to do this with my Rubicon. Not even the service manager would confirm the tow rating without the build sheet.
@jncomatrix I think an audiophile might still be a little disappointed if they don't also upgrade the HU. Only a three band EQ and no separate sub controls. For me the premium factory setup is great.
The premium audio is PREMO. All weekend, topless, doors off, freeway at 70, music loud and clear. Love the sub. You can really feel the bass. The speed adjusted volume leaves you free to enjoy the ride without "fiddling" with the knobs. Light years ahead of my old JK factory system.
Another reason i would prefer the bars padded, Friday when hoisting the hard up, the painted bar was scuffed by the top on the way up. Easy enough to buff out, but could be a pain to have to do after every top removal.
Check the pressure in your tires. Mine came off the truck with 45psi all the way around. I took them to 35psi all the way around and it helped the steering tremendously.
