Itās worth a try I had torqued re torqued banged on everything and nothing helped. But I knew I had one day left before artic air moved in. So I tried the skid plate .
Its worth a shot to try I have had this with 3 gladiators and just recently my 2025 Willys under 5000 miles mopar ish lift done at 2500 miles and all was quite until a few weeks back . Did the same checked everything and on wifeās 22 it was transfer case skid plate to gas tank fastener a nut. On...
I got snow.. š really was hoping for some good deals on possibly some mopar bead lock capable wheels ( enough to make me do something stupid) but no dice.
Update on mine.. all suspension components tight and at spec.
It was the large outboard passenger side skid plate bolt that goes to the frame.
I had the wife hop in and idle forward and backwards towards a driveway drain in our drive as I knelt down on each side to isolate what side and what...
I was able to get the torque wrench in there handle facing and just below front bumper. They were fine on the passenger side. I will check the driver side today.
I donāt think itās being updated or hosted given the age of last post.
I know installed height on vehicles the measurements are off as I went and measured 3 different tires on jeeps at work on break one day just for curiosity.
My 25 Willys 255/75r17 measured 31-1/4 installed.
25 wrangler...
The model year 23 and older always called for 69 ft lbs at link to sway bar. But now the Mopar lift instructions state 90 ft lbs for 23 and older 12mm and 130 ft lbs for 24 and newer which is 14mm size. So even at the older 12mm thatās 21 ft lb of increased torque which is why it had me...
My noise was eliminated until I left from work Tuesday night. But new noise is almost chattering just cruising across a parking lot now. Checked upper and lower control arm torque and track bar Wednesday between food prep lol. All was good there. So last night was going through some of my notes...
I donāt have a printer but a couple guys at work do and have printed a couple things for me dash inserts etc.
as far as speaker adapters there a couple people that have done it for the upper dash adapters. For the sound bar there are companies that make adapters all ready, but I get the theory...
Iām going with $996.30 because Iām buying them while they are sale.
I always keep a couple microfiber towels in the interior and wipe down door jamb areas (pet peeve).
Hello all,
I have searched and did google search but not really found what I am looking for.
Has anyone put Mopar xr recon wheels 17x8 with +12 offset on a Willys or Sport with 11.5 wide tires?
Debating on going with that wheel or similar come spring summer, but donāt want tires hanging out...
I pulled mine out and mounted something to it, definitely would make a great spot for some onboard air fittings gauge etc. but I would definitely recommend maybe making a thicker insert as that was is flimsy and open to the backside. Not a great picture but this is just holding my phone up under...
Oddly enough I have went through this three times on 3 different JTās .
Strange thing is the problem never showed itself until after each gladiator had been fluid film under coated ( NE Ohio they love salt and brine ).
21 Willys with 20k miles teraflex leveling kit. 22 Sport S 50k miles...
My 25 Willys has the Firestone M/T and they are somewhat noisy but nothing like my 21 Willys with the BFG M/Tās . The BFG,s cruising through a parking lot felt like rumble strips.
The Wifeās 22 JT I put BFG KO3 AT on it and they are quieter than both previous mentioned. At about 12k on them now...
I went with LOD Destroyer sliders with step in them. They make an Aluminum version as well. Maybe not for everyone but they offer a step and are heavy duty and frame mounted. And yes I know my JT needs larger tiresā¦lol
As a side note total off-road (4 wheel parts) quoted me 8 hours at$199 an hour for installation.. hard pass . Did it myself over the course of a few days an hour or two after work each evening( rode the Harley to work or carpool with the wife as we drive the same direction ) .
