I encourage everyone with this noise to try this as I believe I already posted it. 3 different gladiators and I narrowed it down to this . The transfer case skid plate bar that comes across to the passenger side, there is a stud on the gas tank skid that this bar goes over. It has a small nut...
Maybe it’s the way I drive but I have the same tires on my Willys and I was expecting them to be horrible in the winter but they have been great this winter. And we have had some pretty big storms this year and ice in NE Ohio.
Looks great, did you amp the cabin speakers? Even the wifes JLUR with alpine has no volume or at least not suitable for me. I can drive down the road with mud terrain tires and listen between volume 5-8 . And I know I will have to upgrade hers.
If you don’t plan on amplifying your dash, knee and sound bar speakers in my experience it’s marginal improvement from stock.
You will gain a little more detail in the audio quality but still have little improvement in volume even if you go with lower impedance speakers.
I did sound deadening...
Bandit nailed it. I have had these discussions with owners on Facebook before and I have myself did the floor of my gladiators and always do inside the enclosures with sound dampening and polyfill.
But I summed it up exactly the same, I built my systems for my needs within my price point vs...
No problem with the questions.
I will try and answer the best I can.
I am running the lower knee speakers and the dash off of channels 1 & 2 parallel @2 ohms. And the rear sound bar which has 6.75 coaxial on channel 3 & 4@ 4 ohms . The cxa360.4 has no problems doesn’t get hot no issues.
I...
With one rotator cuff surgery under my belt my other has been tore over a year ago, but cancer and major stomach surgery that followed had me put off for a lot longer. Ez flip would make it so much easier to just flip open than trying to raise both arms to remove the freedom panels.
No problem hearing it with top doors off in the wifes gladiator (I haven’t had mine off yet) but hers had same setup before I pulled it out before trade in.
I had the single 10” sub with Fox acoustics box in hers, I have the dual 10” version in mine. Yes KSC line of speakers.
I have the stuff...
You will definitely want to install aftermarket amplifiers and better speakers regardless of brand. With properly prepping your sound bar ( sound deadening and poly fill) and do the same with your knee pods and amplifying it setting it up correctly on the amp crossovers or run a dsp it can will...
I have did complete system upgrades on 3 gladiators and 100% if change out all the speakers (knee, dash, soundbar) and amplify all the volume levels and sound quality is a great improvement over even the alpine.
On my sound bar and the new lower dash knee pods I did add sound deadening material...
I completed 4 tasks in total.
Tires pressure I check daily with a handheld deflator style gauge mainly because of temperature and tire psi swings from that.
Being in the northeast washer fluid is a weekly routine as the wintry weather makes it necessary . most important to me is
Door sills and...
Hello,
Traded in the wife's 22 Gladiator and removed majority of the Audio system. She is content with Alpine (So far) in her new ride, but if this don't sell, I may just use it to upgrade her wrangler.
This stuff was used approximately a year. To purchase this amp bundle alone they sale for...
I’m in Ohio as well . I did have fluid film coating done on my last 3 Gladiators. It works a bit messier to work on underneath but I will usually wipe down whatever area I’m working on in the summer and usually recoat in the fall.
I did Kicker KS 3.5 in top dash KS Kicker components in lower knee, and Kicker KS 6.75 in sound bar with adapters and sound deadening and poly fill. I have Kicker amp 65 Rms pushing sound bar and knee and dash speakers. 1200 mono pushing 2 sundown 10’s under back seat.
Did similar in the wife’s...
I have a 25 Willys with Mopar lift springs and Bilstein 5100’s as others have mentioned they are firm . I love the stability they give but with the NE Ohio winter roads and heaves, the rear is harsh to the point the rear feels like the tires leave the road over rough side streets with heaves (...
Yeah I realized it’s a JT thing as I am 3 for 3 on ownership and skid plate noises. Glad it’s better, but totally understand how it get annoying when you can’t pinpoint anything.
