Jeep chat. You have to kinda push them into doing it. Just be respectful and polite. Tell them it is past the original 30 days in D that you were told and would like to know what the issue is.
Still pretty shit price when as said you have others offering a lot more off. I have notice the local dealers coming down a couple of hundred off MSRP.
I can vouch for this. Local dealer had one on theirs. With tail gate up couldn’t get it to fold, at least without tearing anything up. I wasn’t about to force it. It makes a very noticeable click once it’s locked correctly.
Also I noticed it was a very tight fit to where it locks into. If...
I asked the sale manager today at Tim Short in Morehead KY about the rubicon they have had sitting for a month. Said msrp or nothing. I told him it would be a hard sale and he replied as he walked off “Good I hope it sits”
With that attitude I don’t think he will be there much longer.
I got a chance to check out the liners today at a dealer. Holy shit what were they thinking. Very thin and flimsy with minimal anchor. I can see how people are having issues with them.
Blah. I was just offered a fully loaded (every option) RAM Rebel 12 for 55k out the door. MSRP 65.5K. Man that making me think really hard now especially since I’ve been in D for 30 days now....
FWIW, you can’t really compare MPG. Elevation, weather, the terrain, added/removed weight, fuel system condition, driving habits, etc etc etc....It’s nearly impossible to straight up compare MPG.
The reason manuals are rated slightly higher highway mpg is because the auto has a torque converter.
Aftermarket intake pipe running from the stock air box to the throttle body would be the only thing I would do as those are pretty proven from what I’ve seen. CAI kits and high flow filters are not really worth it.
There are no manuals anywhere yet. I kinda wonder if they have a dedicated production line for the manual gladiators, but it’s not up and running yet.
