Kinda sounds like the rod on the latch is broke or slipped off. They are usually plastic. There should be an access panel you can take off and look at it. I would turn it in to warranty though.

State Farm quoted me $133 a month. Single, no kids, no accidents. I’ll be checking other companies as the time gets closer. Geico for what ever reason are stupid expensive in my area (rural KY).

I went with the bright white myself. Reason being is it’s easier to take care of versus other colors IMHO.
