They are wearing well. I had a mishap with the valve stem on the drivers front tire. Long story short, I had to drive 80 miles back home at 18 psi keeping the speed under 65 the entire way. The tires look like they wore way down from doing this on a hot day. But, my oem tires and wheels...
. The tread is soft - almost as soft as they day I got them at Walmart in January. I've run mine daily since January. They don't have any chips, no cuts, and they get used frequently. I haven't taken them on any hard trails yet and the Gladiator gets garaged, so very little UV rays...
Time to pull that tire out of rotation (literally). How much meat is in the carcass where that lug tore off? I would run it on the rear axle at the very least. What a mess.
I have 7,000 miles on my tires after 8 months of daily usage. I did see a Jeep near Johnson Valley with lugs torn off and I figured it was from hard rock usage. The guy bought the set second hand. I use mine a few times on the trail every month, and have not had even a tire chunk of me. But...
I just bought an Annual park pass on Saturday in Joshua Tree. My wife and I camped along the Brooklyn Mine Jeep Trail this weekend. Overnight temperatures were perfect, it was quiet, and the air quality wasn't that bad, either.
After making a weekend run to Joshua Tree, I decided that sleeping on the ground will only happen when I take the TJ Rubicon down to Baja. What did I order?
ARB SImpson III with lower Annex - now, I can spend the day in San Diego - or any beach that allows parking on dirt and/or sand and not...
Because the National Forest is currently closed to visitors, the low desert has some easy trails that take the majority of a day. Berdoo Canyon Road into Joshua tree is open. Take the trail through the park to Old Dale road and up Gold Crown road to Hwy 62 for a full day of dirt.
I would suggest 3n16 for a drive through Big Bear from near the Big Bear Discovery Center to the municipal dump. Just be careful if it there is weather while you are out there.
So, you don't see an immediate need for an oil pan skidplate Bonanza? I was worried about damaging mine once I got a real trail. I'm on 38s and EVO 4.5".
I will be installing my Adams 1350 soon. I can't wait! The two kids from Goon Squad installed the same driveshaft on their Gladiator within minutes. I need to up my installation game, it seems.
I have the Patagonia's in a 38"x13.5r17. I have about 5,000 miles on mine and they are quiet on the road and handle okay. The problem that I have with the Patagonia is their requirement to be run at OEM PSI for best overall wear. I had been running mine at 35 PSI, but this has resulted in...
