I didn’t torque mine to any inch lbs, I just put some red locktite on and just put the screw in with a slight snug at the end. The screw is small and fine thread so I just stopped when it felt right.

The loss in coolant however was measurable @ 1 ounce consumption/1000 kms. The lab reports on the second engine show no glycol. So it’s leaching from the new catch can hoses. So OP for high jacking this thread😬. We will now go back to our regular programming…. DO THE CATCH CAN!!

Been thinking about the pre ignition knocking you’ll hear when you go to take off after the hot soak is done and I’m wondering if it would help to eliminate that by filling the tank with high octane gas before you do this. ??

Well, after blowing the dust off this one, let me try to remember it and recall what’s happened since…🧐 I’m on second engine and fourth transmission and fourth power steering pump… I’d say the problem was with the first factory transmission. After that was replaced, the “thump” episodes stopped.
